This property was clean and enjoyable. My daughters had fun feeding the animals and playing with them. My teenage son and daughters enjoyed the motorized vehicles on the property, although my son really had his heart set on one that was not available at the time of our stay. He still wonders what it would have been like to ride it, as we cannot have anything like that where we live. The neighborhood was nice and quiet except for the occasional donkey holler, which was amusing. It was fairly secluded which was nice. The grocery and gas station were both about twenty minutes away. The beaches were about an hour away (with traffic). We came and went kind of a lot, so the bumpy gravel road got a little daunting, but it was okay. We brought our dogs, and they had a very good time in the fenced in yard. They were able to swim in the property's pond when they got too warm, and there was plenty of shade. The owners provided dog toys, which they enjoyed. We had a little bit of trouble at night not being able to let them in the house, as they are not crate trained. We set up blankets outside the bedroom window and kept it open a crack so we could talk to them if they started to whimper. After a night or two they got used to it for the most part. We were able to have a nice bonfire, cook out on the grill (although at the time of our stay there weren't utensils available that were suitable for grilling), listen to music on the big speaker outside, enjoy the night sounds on the lit porch at night, and watch the chickens and goats run around and play. The only thing I would say is watch your dogs around the goats. One of the goats wanted to head-butt one of our dogs in the worst way. Maybe a dominance thing?
We felt the listing did not accurately list prices at the time of our rental, especially to bring the dogs, but the owner is aware now and hopefully can get it straightened out. Angie was very kind and personable, and her kids are adorable.
All in all we had a great time. It was an experience we won't soon forget.
