Best lake view cottage #21 at Salt Springs Resort

  • Come relax and enjoy this adorable cottage with the best location in the Salt Springs Resort. You will appreciate the gorgeous views and lovely breeze from Little Lake Kerr. Cottage #21 is one of the few cottages available for rent from which you can watch the sunset over the lake every night directly from your front patio.

    This 720 sq foot 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage
    has everything you need for a comfortable stay including: kitchenware for cooking, gas stove/oven, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, blender, pool towels, board games, tennis raquets & pickelball paddles, poker set, outdoor gas grill and picnic table, cable TV & wifi. Comfortably sleeps 4, but can accommodate 6. Inquire in advance as we can provide a nice queen sized inflatable mattress.
    We do charge a one time cleaning fee of $75, payable with your vrbo reservation.

    **Note that Salt Springs Resort charges a separately charged one time check-in / park fee of all renters for $35, additional vehicles for $15.**

    Resort amenities start just 100 steps away from home to the two pools and waterfront including hot tub, game room, volleyball, pickleball, corn hole, horseshoes, shuffleboard, fire pit and more! Bring your boat; there's plenty of parking and a boat ramp on site.

    Within walking distance are a Dollar General, post office, the Square Meal for breakfast or lunch, Salt Springs Pizza, hair salon and laundromat. Other nearby restaurants like Maxine's Kitchen, The Grill Out, Odd Todds & Cactus Jacks are a few minutes drive away.

    Explore the local area: Salt Springs Recreational Area is across the street and nearby is the Salt Springs Marina where you can launch your boat into the run that brings you to the St. John's River. Juniper, Silver Glen, Silver Springs and Alexander Springs are all within a short drive. Bring your snorkel masks from home and spend a few hours at each spring. No two are alike. Like hiking? Bass fishing? Dirt biking, 4x4'ing (trails begin across the street!) Spectacular sunsets? It's all here!

    There's ample parking at the cottage for 2 vehicles including a boat/trailer.

We very much enjoyed sitting on the comfortable porch chairs enjoying our coffee and the beautiful lake view in the morning. This cottage was so clean and in the perfect location near all of the resorts amenities.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful cottage with a very nice lake view and close to the water and amenities Nicely furnished and clean. Pool was wonderful and clean. There was everything you needed for a vacation. We fished but didn't catch anything, but there is never a bad day fishing.Host responded to all messages sent in a timely manor. 40th Anniversary

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. We just love the cozy feeling here. Relaxing with a good book, walking around, swimming in the pool, and also horse shoes and shuffleboard. Great times!

Perfect getaway cottage!

This wonderful cottage did indeed have the best view as advertised. The cottage was perfectly stocked, comfortable, conveniently located and surrounded by Sandhill Cranes! We could have easily stayed an entire week, or more. Great communication and support. Hope to return one day.

We went here for my husbands birthday.We planned on riding in the ocala forest for a few days. The rest of the time at the cabin. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for having us. We will be back!

Weekend at the Lake

Perfect little waterfront cabin. Clean and perfect location for a weekend on the lake. Beautiful view of little Lake Kerr out the front window and screened in porch to sit out and enjoy the view. We brought our golf cart and boat and had an awesome stay. Campground is clean and everyone is super friendly. Krista was very great in communicating and we are ready to book our next stay there.

Cabin 21 is clean, well-equipped, very nice. It is close to pools and lake, actually most activities that can be enjoyed on your Salt Springs Resort vacation. Three very close options for eating out: Square Meal, Salt Springs Pizza, and The Grill Out-don't order a double burger unless you're starving.

The cottage has a great view of the lake and great location for the amenities of this resort, but unfortunately, while our boat was parked, some items became missing. Host is great. Place is nice and clean. Just keep your stuff locked up.

Nice holiday house

We went up with our two grandsons to enjoy the springs. The house was very nice and clean when we walked in. We were able to ride our bikes over to salt Springs. The kids and I enjoyed riding our bikes around the property. We paddleboard it on the lake right out front. I would definitely recommend this property. We normally camp, but we sold our RV. It was truly a pleasant stay and priced right. Oh, and the neighbors were very nice.

Perfect Getaway

Krista's cabin was absolutely amazing for our little getaway. It was decorated so cute, everything was clean and it has everything that we could possibly need for cooking and relaxing. If we forgot something Krista had it. Check-in was a breeze and Amy at the Gate was the sweetest and so helpful letting us know about the area and best times to get to the springs. The view was beautiful to wake up to every morning and have coffee. The wildlife was so fun to watch. We played shuffleboard every day, went to the springs, utilize the pool and attempted horseshoes. There's just so much to do right across the street that we are going to have to come back. My boyfriend and I have been bragging to all of our friends about how amazing our trip was. We will definitely be booking again!
