Was a great experience. Near ports for cruiseships, $9/pp shuttle to the port, easy to arrange once present at hotel. Enjoyed the pool. Walgreens across the street for any 'sundries' or pre-cruise needs. We didn't get to walk much but there seems to be some ice cream and shops nearby

I paid nearly $400 to stay close to my Port which worked best for my party & me. We ate at the hotel several times & drank lots of beer, tips & mixed drinks. I asked about free breakfast & since I'm not a Marriott member we have to pay for breakfast. This is our 2nd year staying here & it will be our last!

The service in the bar and restaurant was extremely slow for food. The food was good quality once it arrived, but one of the older servers is clearly disinterested in her position, and is not hesitant to let it be known. The rest of the staff we encountered were professional and friendly.

The location was convenient and close to restaurants and beach. The lobby was nice, open and airy. The pool had debris in it, leaves at the bottom. The jacuzzi had a green tone and low on water. Appeared unclean; lacked chlorine and young children were in there without supervision of their parents and staff said nothing. The biggest problem for me was that on our last night there, we came back to the room after all day at the beach, tired and sweaty, and our key did not work. We tried several times with both keys. I went down to the desk and the woman there (cannot remember her name), said she reset it and told me there is a phone at the elevator upstairs to call from next time. Well, I went back to the room and it still didn't work. So I called from upstairs hall and she said she would send maintenance. So we waited for maintenance. He came and couldn't fix it right then, because it needed a battery. So we were displaced form our room for about 45 min. Went to sit out at the pool until it was fixed. Again, frustratingly, another child in the jacuzzi. And the parking was too expensive! All in all, just an average stay.

For the price this once very nice hotel was showing its age. Vinyl furniture was peeling, paint and decor looking very aged. The room was average size, extremely dark and it was difficult to see where our items were in the room because of bad lighting and almost black furniture. The front door staff were awesome and very helpful.

Woefully understaffed at the restaurant - one poor man being the bartender and waiter for 20 people. And the kitchen was no help - my salad had 5 ingredients listed on the menu and only the last two were on the plate. And no blow dryer in the room and when I advised the front desk, I was told there were guests without blow dryers in their room. Dismal for $500 Cdn for one night

Overall a very nice hotel at a reasonable price. Perfect for us, a quick ($20) taxi ride from the airport; and walking distance (or $8 shuttle ride) from Port Everglades to board our cruise. Close to groceries, pharmacy, several restaurants - easy walking to all of these to pick up any essentials you need while in the area, and lots of restaurants at various price points. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, room was nice and large, and it was a quiet stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, we were able to check-in 5 hours early ($25), which was super convenient. Continental breakfast buffet was delicious, lots of options, hot & cold. On site restaurant for dinner was reasonably priced, with good, delicious options. 2 minor issues - the Guest Wifi went down within a couple of hours of us arriving and remained down for the rest of our stay (which was one night - it went down mid-afternoon and stayed down until the next day at noon, at least, which is when we left). Only one of 2 elevators was working when we arrived, and by the next morning both elevators were down. Thankfully the service elevator was working, and the staff were great to ensure we knew about it and were able to use it with ease. Again, both were minor issues, and hopefully resolved soon. The staff did say they were in the process of refurbishing the entire hotel, especially the elevators.

There for a pre-cruise night. Ugh. Musty smelling room, awful mattress and bedding, elevators that didn’t work so you either had to take stairs or hope to use freight elevator when possible. The whole place just looked super tired and sad. I went in with low expectations and even those weren’t met. Glad it was for one night.

Not coming back
Sheets were too small for the bed, so I did not sleep well. For $350 the sheets should have been right. Only one elevator was working. So it was a 10 to 15 min wait each time you needed to use. But the service elevator was working and you don’t have access to it. Tried the stairs they lead you outside so now you walk around the building to get to the lobby. I’m older and handicapped I can’t do this mess. Thanks for not much

We were delayed getting to the Hotel for check in due to traffic. I spoke with the manager around 2pm on day of check-in and they stated there would be no problem getting there later. We got to the property later that night and they gave our room away to someone else. We were left without a hotel room due to this happening. We will tell everyone we know never to book at this property in the future.

Reception person appeared disinterested and not pleasant. Hotel is in urgent need of maintenance and repair. Garden requires care. Large iguanas in swimming pool area are very concerning and makes time at the pool unpleasant. Pool area needs much work. Pool situated beside noisy busy road.Very little service at food and drink counter. Long waits - extra staff required. The photos published appear better than how we saw the hotel. Management need to spend money on various reburbishment aspects. Long overdue. A grossly overpriced hotel for what it is.

I have in my preferences that I need away from the elevator and feather free (I have an allergy). They put me directly in front of the elevator and it took an hour at 10 pm to get the pillows. I woke up with a rash. They’re not very accommodating and more interested in making money off the guests.

The hotel is getting tired and needs to be refreshed. The shower in our room had a terrible shower head that spewed water throughout the bathroom. This was not the case in a visit earlier in the year. Thankfully, the staff is excellent, and for someone embarking or disembarking a cruise this hotel’s location is superb
