I have been a Hilton Honors for years. My comments are not related to common areas of the Hotel. I'm talking about a room smelling very bad, a night table falling from the wall into the floor and a uber dependent facility. Being so far away from the airport comparatively speaking with your competitors, you guys should have a free shuttle like all the other Hilton hotels to get guests back to the airport. In the long run it will pay out. Another one I want to mention is that there is no Telemundo or Univision or any other Spanish speaking channels on the dish TV. Guys, a fact: Among people visiting South Florida in general, it is hard to find anyone that does not speak Spanish these days. Why not just have at least one of those channel in the tv? Feels like racist not having at least one available. Anyway, very disappointed this time with my favorite hotel brand ever, Hampton Inn.

Upon entering the hotel, it felt like no one wanted to check us in. Initial staff assisting with our check in just left during the check in. Then another staff came and asked if we had been helped. Second staff finished the check in process. Not sure what happened to the first staff. Upon check out, the response we got was “Oh you booked through Expedia “. It’s like his facial expression changed.

Everything on our room had a layer of what looked like rust… the lamps, the fixtures, the lamp shades, etc. Every fixture was broken including the bars in the shower, shower handle, toilet paper holder. The room smelled horrible, like a mix of smoke and mildew. There were no cups and no soap for hand washing. Staff were friendly, but room was so bad we switched hotels the next day.

It’s definitely time for a renovation. Shower leaks, toilet leaks, rust on lamps, worn carpet, and beds are hard as bricks. Staff friendly and as clean as it can be given the condition.

This did not meet my general experience with Hampton inn properties. The hotel and rooms are worn. Not up to the clean and modern I generally experience with Hampton inns. The service was just ok. the vibe was lacking a welcoming and friendly reception. The staff were Not rude or anything. But they seem neutral when interacting with me. Again I have stayed in Hampton Inns previously and really like the welcoming environment and fresh and clean property. This location was average, which doesn't meet my standards for lodging.

Yes, and thank you for clarifying, Ms. Kadian. Due to our downtown location, we do have an adjacent parking structure, for which we charge a fee. For the record, it is the most economical parking of all the downtown hotels. We DO authorize your credit card 50 per day for incidental purchases in the hotel, which could include parking, bar or gift shop charges. If nothing is purchased, the authorized amount is returned promptly.Thanks so much for the feedback.

The people there are trying to help and asking opinions but there’s an overwhelming musty smell in the hotel and the rooms. Not sure why that is but it’s just the reality. The breakfast was good and sufficient though.

The hotel it self was in a great location for our needs. The staff was pretty friendly other than the bartender, he was nice to us but seemed a bit on edge. The room definitely needs some improvement. The blackout curtains had little holes in them, the rug looks like it had gashes in it and seemed dirty. The bathroom sink had a very slow drain. And normally rooms come with a hairdryer, but for some reason I had to call downstairs for one. There was no iron in the room either. The bed was comfortable. Last but not least the breakfast was mediocre at best. Again, the staff was great and very courteous, I just think management needs to do some updates to the room and definitely invest in Drano or Liquid Plumber. 🙏

The hotel staff was very nice, but it’s an old building with old windows and you could hear the loud traffic all night long! The bed mattress was very uncomfortable, you can feel the bed springs in your back. If you have a big vehicle their parking garage is hard to maneuver in. The property is very close to the bus station and a lot of homeless walking around.

Overall things worked out but I must warn we started off on the wrong foot with a room that smelled funky. They were nice enough to change it no questions asked but the next room was no better. We plugged in our devices and all the power went off! (I can’t make this stuff up) It would have been no big deal and just another complaint but our kids were asleep. We had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Management was super accommodating and empathetic but it was definitely an unpleasant experience. From there on it was ok but damn those first few moments really sucked!

Property is in severe need of renovations. The carpets are all stained, the metal work in the rooms rusty and in general its way past its prime. Very very poor for a Hilton.
