Perfect for my stay. Location is easy to find and close to amenities. Spacious and clean with beach access across the street was perfect. The deck and garden area was a bonus!

It's a nice place to stay had all the amenities you need. My wife and I enjoyed our weekend stay. Paula is a great host. We enjoyed a tour at the local Lighthouse one of the place's that Paula mentioned.
We celebrated our 33rd Anniversary and felt right at home. Very clean and cozy. Went to Port Huron shopping and ate at Cheap Charlie’s.
We would stay here again for sure.
We really enjoyed our fall weekend at The Abode. The cottage is nicely situated across the road from the beach access which allowed us to enjoy walking along the lake to watch the sunrise and spend time at the nearby state park. We enjoyed the proximity to both Port Huron and Lexington for walking and shopping.
The cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy. Paula included some really nice little touches to make us feel special.
The Abode was clean and comfortable for my sister and I for the two nights we stayed. The small beach was a short walk across the street. Pictures in the listing were accurate.
needs some TLC
I had to alter my plans after my father passed unexpectedly while on this trip. The host was extremely considerate and was very easy to communicate with during the difficult time. The property was extremely clean.
The home was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect or if the accommodations would suit the 4 of us. My family loved it. We had enough room to be comfortable without our things being cluttered. D We chi
We only stayed one night , it was nice to have a private beach across the street . We had a hard time finding the place as it sits back behind the attached building an old store or shop . It looks a little rough around the edges when you first pull up but once inside it was clean and had all your amenities . I noticed a few spots in ceiling where the roof had leaked . We let the owners
about it throughout unit . Maybe from the leaks
A spontaneous booking opportunity that did not disappoint. An Adorable Abode that exceeded our needs (& expectations). Wish we had booked another night, possibly two, but again, this was a spontaneous adventure. Would love to make this a destination during the warmer months to enjoy a dip in the big lake (Huron).
The host, Paula, was extremely helpful and available for questions whenever needed. Such a cute place, well stocked for comfort and extremely clean. Private beach area met our needs for the northern lights' lite show. A couple of lawn chairs, a box o'wine and we were set for the show.
If you do make the trek, highly recommend eating at Cheap Charlies. Had a fantastic Walleye dinner (& it was cheap). Their entire menu looked appetizing.
The property manager was amazing and so accommodating with our family. We came to michigan on a last minute reservation because a family member was sick… the feeling of home and al the little details and extras given made the hard days for our family easier. Beautiful outside and inside, waterfall shower , very comfortable beds even the pull out/ trundle bed felt like a cloud, the fire pit outside was adorable and used for s’mores…we travel here at least twice a year for family and I will be contacting Paula each time now. Couldn’t imagine a better location or a more perfect place for my family to stay. Even though our trip was very hard and sad we still enjoyed the time we stayed and felt at home when everything felt like it was falling apart around us. Thank you again to the property manager for her kinds words and support.

Very central location to Fort Gratiot, Port Huron and Lexington.Great Beach Access! The Abode was spotless. Very spacious living area and nicely refurbished. The outdoor soace with the wrap around deck and fire pit area are great! My 3 teens and I thoroughly enjoyed our getaway by the Blue Water Bridge. Paula is a gracious and attentive Host!
Check-in process was easy using a key code to enter the unit. This cottage is attached to the back of a commercial building. It has a nice large deck facing a residential neighborhood. The large living area has both a trundle bed and a futon. The kitchen was well equipped, but there's no dishwasher. The shower had a nice handheld showerhead. The supplies provided met our needs. Parking was easy. The host quickly responded to our communications.
