"It’s still a great place to stay—goons clean and ample size, its historic structure and locations views over the city, harbor, Marquette Mountain. But the owner has let the exterior, lobby deteriorate, which is inexcusable and a shame. And the grand restaurant with its great breakfasts is gone, a vacant except for tables and chairs for meetings. So it’s once 4 to 5 Star charm gas fallen to 3-Star over all. "
"The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious for the Marquette area. It was very reasonably priced as well. We did have a some issues with controlling the heat, but the staff was very helpful in addressing it. They also offered extra blankets. We were very satisfied and would return and our next visit to the area."
"This new hybrid hotel was great! The concept of al virtual communication was at first intimidating, but the instructions were easy to follow and it was successful. The rooms were tastefully decorated with attention to classy details. The organic products and treats were appreciated. Everything was clean super clean and easy to settle into. Very nice place to visit!"
Relaxing Escape in the Woods - 15 minutes from Marquette!
10/10 Excellent
"Honestly this place was clean and the mattress was comfortable. We really only used the place to stay. There are a few things you should be aware of. It is heated with fuel oil. It wasn’t a problem for us since it heats hide and warm. But it does have a faint smell, especially when you first walked in and was like what is that smell?? It is the fuel oil. It seemed to go away once it started heating up. This was not a deal breaker for us. It did heat the place up fast. The sheets are microfiber. So if you don’t mind the sheets sticking to you like Velcro every time you rolled over, then never mind this part of the review. My real only complaint was the lack of winter blankets on the bed. It only has the microfiber sheet and thin bedspread. I went to bed like I do camping in a tent. A warm comforter would have been nice. And the shower did not have good water pressure. If you have thicker hair it might be hard to rinse out the shampoo/conditoner. The washer & dryer are in the basement. The stairs were quite steep. Like I said, the place was CLEAN and really these other issues weren’t really deal breakers. Just giving a heads up if you allergies, sensory issues or bad knees/back issues. But it truly was clean! That is the #1 reason I’d stay again"
