Best Western Hotel Hermitage

"Stopped for one night in July. Room was large and comfortable, though a little dated. Bathroom was very large, shower was inside the bath so a large climb over the bath required, but shower nicely powerful. Only minor issue was no milk for the coffee machine. We had a room at the back so only looking over the car park, therefore can't comment on the views out of the window. We didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely average. Not rubbish, but not special either, and a bit overpriced for what you get. The receptionist when we arrived was fantastically helpful and extremely friendly, and indeed all the staff we encountered were very good. The building from the outside is impressive looking, and we were able to park very close by, so transporting the luggage was no problem. The parking in the street outside was free of charge (if you can find a free space), but to park in the hotel car park was chargeable, and not cheap either. Needless to say, for the time we were there, the streets outside were full of cars ... and the Hotel car park was empty! The major part of the town was only a very short and pleasant walk from the hotel, and there appeared to be plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. To summarise .... I would recommend this hotel, and if ever we are back in the area we would certainly consider staying again."

"Perfect base for exploring the village which is beautiful and has a fantastic choice of restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and had a spacious balcony. The property and grounds are lovely and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden with a cocktail after a fun day exploring - which we enjoyed so much we extended our stay by another night! We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant due to all the choice in the village - however we would probably do next time we stay - as we will be back!"

"Check in was very easy and the detached house we stayed in was spotless. Lovely patio terrace at the back and enough space to park on the drive. In a very good location if you want peace and tranquility, along with it being an hour max drive from Calais. Would recommend staying here out of season as in prime time summer the prices rocket. 5*"

"cadre sympathique qui porte bien son nom de "chant des oiseaux".Un logement spatieux qui garde la fraîcheur, qui est proche des propriétaires, tout en gardant son indépendanceBons conseils de la part de Delphine et Laurent sur les choses à voir dans le secteur, les bons endroits où se restaurer.Séjour très agréable"

"The property and surrounding area was very clean. We had all the utensils needed for cooking and cleaning. Staff were helpful and available when needed. The check in and information website was really helpful and gave us great ideas of things to do. The swimming pool was excellent. Very clean and fun for the kids. The only things to note, for young children one of the play areas is too damaged for use, and it would be useful is to note the required swimwear (i.e. Lycra only and no shorts)."
