I had an enjoyable albeit short (3 nights) stay at the San Antonio Hotel Boutique. Unfortunately, I left my phone in the taxi that dropped me off but Fonseco at the front desk was very helpful in trying to locate the driver. Although we were unable to contact him, I have since been in touch with someone who has the phone and am coordinating its return to the US. Both of the hotel proprietors, Ricardo and Nelson, were also extremely helpful and fluent English speakers. My room had a safe and was very comfortable and quiet, and came with breakfast each morning, with a selection that included eggs, ham, cheese, toast, coffee/chocolate/tea, juice and fruit. The San Antonio neighborhood was safe to walk around with excellent restaurants, art galleries, cafes and shops within walking distance - I visited and would recommend for dining La Boheme, Primos, and the Valle Pacific Ancestral Restaurante (shoutout to my server Dayana!). I was in Cali for a short side trip from Bogata in between dental clinic appointments and would have been more adventurous and explored more of the city but the short duration of my stay and not having a phone limited my choices. I also enjoyed the warmer weather compared to Bogota and definitely hope to go back some day for a longer visit!
