Our room was great. Spacious and comfortable. The breakfast by the pool each morning was very nice. Made to order eggs, toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, juices and coffee or tea… Central to everything in the Keys. Some ongoing renovations at the property. Great staff.

Overall, this place did not meet expectations from what is seen in the advertised photos. The room we stayed in needs a good deep cleaning as evident by the dirt on our feet when walking barefoot, dust in the room, dirty tables, and just overall smell. The internet service is horrible on the third level and we were told they would reset the router; it would work for a few minutes and then go out. This was problematic as we still had to work a bit and had to repeatedly reset the router only for it to go it again. This appears to be an ongoing problem on the third and fourth floors, so I am not certain as to why something isn't done to boost the signal and address it. On a positive note, the pool was nice, but the furniture cushions could use an upgrade as many cushions were stained and/or ripped. Additionally, the food was very good when we ordered dinner. The restaurant staff was amazing and very friendly. Overall, there were pros and cons when we stayed here.

Our room had a poor view! Our room was not ready when we arrived. They said they would call when it was ready. They never called. We had to check back and then still wait on it. When we did get a room the hardwood floor was still wet and very sticky. The floor was dirty! When getting in the shower, dirt would come off your foot into the shower. Our white socks became very dirty! Poor view from our balcony! The nice area was the tiki bar pool area. Bartenders very nice! Great pool. Good music! The restaurant area was closed. Had to order food from bar and sit outside or go to your room!

We are sorry to hear you were not as pleased as you could have been. You had booked a Standard King Suite, which is on our second floor; however, you were upgraded to a Deluxe at a higher floor. We apologize if the floors appeared dirty, they are not, however we do have grout that comes up and we are working to reseal all of the floors. Glad you enjoyed the pool area and daily entertainment. The restaurant is open from 12:00pm-9:00pm. Before 3:30pm all orders are made at the bar and our guests are welcome to sit indoors, outdoors, as well as the pool area.

Just wasn't what was expected. Floor in the room was dirty. Was expecting a balcony over the boat channel , not the parking lot.Noticed that certain parts of the building were not structurally sound. Staff in many cases were very unresponsive.

Yes,, our balconies overlook the tennis courts and pool area... Some overlook boot key harbor. The front doors and entrance to the apartments overlook the canal. We think this was done this way because when the hotel was built we were known for our tennis courts and hosted quite a few matches! The buildings are very structurally sound and that is exactly why we always do preventative maintenance and upkeep. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Safe travels

Property was clearly dated. One building had several house jacks in every garage supporting the first floor units and therefore the other 2 floors above it. That sent up a red flag right there. Buildings look run down. Nothing like the pictures. The view from the patios is the backside of the leasing office, dumpsters, parking lot. Rooms were really clean; but definitely not worth the $ they charge you. Food was mediocre.

The buildings are very structurally sound and we are on top of maintenance that is why you see the concrete work being performed, as routine maintenance and to guarantee the upkeep and integrity of the buildings. The balconies' overlook the tennis courts and pool area, where the front doors open to the canal leading to boot key harbor. We wish you safe travels and are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay as much as you could have.

We enjoyed our stay at Skipjack! The rooms were very spacious and clean. The continental breakfast and restaurant/bar were great. We enjoyed all of our meals and drinks on site, poolside! We had an amazing pizza and a delicious authentic gyro sandwich. The staff were all very friendly, especially the bar staff. The pool was very nice as well. We were able to borrow beach chairs and an umbrella for our day trip to Bahia Honda, which was very convenient. The only downside to Skipjack is that it does not have an ocean view or beachfront and there is a lot of construction going on around the property right now. If that doesn't bother you, you will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Room wooden floors were dirty. As in the bottom of our feet were black just walking from bedroom to shower. Many surfaces not clean. Most staff were really nice. Breakfast was pretty basic considering daily resort fee.

Check in was by 4pm and our room was not ready and nobody seemed to care. Breakfast was included and was awful. Cold eggs and bacon and a frozen English muffin! Much of the property’s perimeter was under construction or in disrepair. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me!!!

I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience here. It rarely happens that the rooms aren't ready by check in time, however sometimes, there are things we can not control. In those cases we give our guests vouchers for a drink or some sort of compensation. Regarding the breakfast, I am not sure how your eggs etc were cold, as everything is made to order. We also do not freeze any of the bread products and have a toaster for the guests to use and we do not have/serve English muffins... only bagels and sliced bread. But in any case we are sorry you did not have a pleasant experience and wish you would have voiced your opinion while on resort so anything that could have been addressed would have been.

Good location. Close to beaches. Plenty of parking. Front desk was very cordial and responsive. Nice pool and bar and adequate breakfast. It was called a continental, but included hot items such as bacon, eggs and waffles as well.

The property has an excellent location, a very nice pool deck with an exceptionally good tiki bar and restaurant. The rooms are suites with a simple kitchenette and table, as well as a good seating area with couch, love seat, end & coffee tables and TV. The issues are cleanliness and maintenance. The floors of the rooms are dirty, the shower floor was stained and not regularly cleaned. I dusted the room myself and had a black towel when done. The "fitness ctr." was a joke. Dirty floors, dirty walls, uneven flooring that is a trip hazard and broken equipment. This is a property wide issue.

Our rooms are spacious with a kitchenette and our housekeeping works very hard to do a diligent job. The property is in a great location and the rooms are large and clean. However, the walls are so thin you can hear the neighbors talking... And it's worse when they're loud at 4 AM. The wifi was also very weak if not completely dead... I will try another place next trip because I'd rather a smaller room that's quiet than a loud large room.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Skipjack Resort. Javier was there to greet us when we arrived, and he was amazing! He was very friendly and more than happy to help and answer any questions that we had. I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast. Based on the "resort fee" being charged, I think the options were lacking. Enjoyed the pizza that we ordered from Blue Bistro. The music at night was very enjoyable. Our apartment accommodations were nice and had all that we needed for our stay.

Decent resort in the keys. Room was very spacious with separate bedroom. Kitchenette was a fridge & microwave, no stove top &/or oven. View from balcony was looking at the parking lot and run down courts/bbq area. The pool area and tiki bar were great, and food from the restaurant was good. There is a tremendous amount of construction on and around the exterior of the property which makes for unpleasant views. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, but the room smelled dingy.

We are upgrading one section of the resort, which doesn't interfere with the majority of the facilities. We hope you enjoyed the pool area, volleyball & tennis courts, gym, use of the bicycles and all the other free amenities we offer.

The room was decent. There was construction going on right outside our balcony (part of the property). The tiki bar did not have a blender ???? There were loose pavers all around the pool. The 1st night we were there, there wasn't any hot water at night. The maid showed up at 4:45pm to clean our room; right as we were getting ready to go out to diner. All in all, not a great experience for the price.

We arrived and check in was very quick and easy, but it was early, 4 pm on Friday after Thanksgiving. You can have you need at your finger tips or within a bicycle ride( less than .5 mile) Boat rental on site, tennis courts, Tiki Bar with music most nights overlooking very nice pool, Restaurant dining if you prefer, walk or ride bikes( provided) to get all your groceries and our kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. We did not have a stove/oven but they provide 2 outdoor grills across from the room we stayed in. Staff was pleasant! We brought in a boat and used the slips(daily fee $$$) but they had pontoon rentals there also. Or you can fish right off of their docks. We walked down board walk to a locals spot where they had entertainment also. A GREAT stay!!!

Was there three days and not once had room service. They would knock before 9am, we are vacationing, not up so early. We told them come back later and never came, three days no clean towels.At night fire alarm went off at 9am and the hotel has no staff after 11pm. Waited over half hour for fire department to arrive at that time. And last aunts I’m the restrooms. Overall the hotel is too old.

As our front desk agents also mention upon check-in, extra towels can also be found at our Front Desk. In case of emergencies staff members can be found after 11:00pm by calling the provided emergency number. We are in the middle of property wide renovations of the exterior and our amenities. We will also look into your reservation and check the room where you stayed, to see if there were any issues.
