I have mixed feelings about my stay at the Ibis Bay Resort. First off it is one of the more reasonably priced accommodations in Key West. They have great amenities, such as their large clean pool, free continental breakfast and free transport to and from old town. You can also rent golf carts, scooters, bicycles, and they offer a few different tours. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our room. We booked the queen bed courtyard room on the 2nd floor. They did a lovely job decorating the tiny room but the room was extremely damp and smelly. The carpet was old and most likely the cause of the smell. The air conditioning system ran continuously and was very loud. The venetian blinds let in a lot of light from the outside hallway and didn’t provide much privacy at night. In order to fit our luggage, we moved the patio chairs and bistro table to the outside hallway. This is an old motel that has been nicely decorated but requires a lot more than paint to bring it up to modern standards. So would I stay here again? Maybe, but I would definitely upgrade to a larger room on the main floor with an ocean view.

Really nice place to stay in Key West but was highly disappointed for having to pay a $50 resort fee in addition to the total Expedia payment .. still not sure I didn't get ripped off 😕

Our room had the two double beds with the deck on the bay. The outside area was great. The room had termites really badgered, it’s an older room and it showed. Not complaining our stay was fantastic, I could have just lived outback!

I was disappointed with the hotel. The walls are extremely thin so you can hear everything in adjacent rooms, alarms at 5:30am, conversations, etc. The floors of the room were also dirty and the bathroom is small. I mean very small. The staff was lovely. I would say the pool and the staff were the best part of the hotel. And the complimentary shuttle bus to old town Key West. That was convenient. If it had been cheaper I might not have been so disappointed but for what I paid for 4 nights, it was not worth it.

Nice old-school motel, really. The rooms are what you'd expect 40-50 years ago. Nice and clean, but not really up to modern standards. It's a charming place, and fun to stay. They've built a little beach on the water that you can relax on, but not really swim because it's shalliow and the bottom is mostly mud and seaweed. There's a swimming pool, but just more or less a nice back-yard pool. The Stone Crab Restaurant is on-site, but pretty expensive. The free breakfast is just average.

Ibis Bay was a wonderful place to stay! The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. It was clean. Our room opened up on the beach side through a slider there was a a small patio with two chairs and a table. There was also our own hammock right there. The food in the restaurant was excellent and they offered an extensive continental breakfast at no extra charge. It was a great place to stay and we will be back

The weather was beautiful. The pool at the resort was well maintained. The staff were all friendly. I loved the parrots and tortoises. The private beach was perfect for rock and shell finding. The room was very quaint but nice for a short stay. The resort was nicely located near restaurants and other attractions. It was also a short walking distance from some of the more popular tourist destinations. The resort itself offered many reasonably priced activities/accommodations. The shark feeding for FREE was amazing!!! I would definitely visit again :)

Best thing about our stay at Iris bay beach resort was the bay view from our room. It’s a colorful property with a large parrot, turtles etc. Unfortunately the first room we got had termite dust which left a bad impression about the management. But they did agree to change the room.

A great, fun resort. We stayed in a Bay View room, which was pretty and had a great space with plentiful hammocks and chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Rooms are clean, with comfy beds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is easy access to fun activities in Key West, including a shuttle into the downtown area, which is super convenient. The continental breakfast could use a few more options (i.e. additional drink choices, such as juices, and a few more food items would be nice). Otherwise, this is a great place and we would stay here again.

No real pillows, just throw pillows. No hot water. Tiny shower. Can barely navigate around bed. Restaurant is a limited to seafood and is overpriced. “Resort” charged additional fee upon arrival for some reason. Room was clean but rundown.

April, we appreciate the feedback. We use standard size pillows, throw pillows would just be on the couches. The resort fee is mentioned prior to booking and it includes breakfast, parking and our downtown shuttle.

Very nice property. Cute decorated rooms. My grandson loved the macaw, the turtles and the pool. Easy parking and a convenient part of town. Grocery stores, laundromat, CVS, Walgreens all close by. Great place for families or anyone who wants a nice clean hotel at a reasonable price. Close drive to Smathers beach and the shuttle bus was convenient to go to the Old Town area. Would definitely stay here again.

It is an older place so outlets and lighting are few in the room. Comfortable for just a place to sleep. Enjoyed the deck & view of the bay. Free bus rides to old town/duvall st we’re great. Restaurant was all seafood. Would have been nice to have a burger option but close enough to walk elsewhere when the need arised. Laid back & quiet. Stayed 5 days never had the same neighbors more than a night. Would stay again
