Staff was very helpful with setting up taxi (2:00 a.m.), letting us store luggage early and explaining and showing us the logistics needed for our departure before reception opened. Room was on the ground floor. We were surprised by traffic noise all night (wear good earplugs). The room was well-stocked. We would reserve again for future stays.

Old building but clean, everyone is super nice, and friendly. Even after checkout we could leave our luggage to walk all day in the surroundings. I would definitely stay again, it’s 15 mins walking from the train station.

Accessible from train station and Duomo - 15-20 min walk. Clean, quiet and big family room. Small fridge and kettle available. Breakfast - typical Italian breakfast. Also served hard boiled eggs. Friendly staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at Residenza Hotel Cimabue. The staff at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. The hotel room was clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable. The area is very quiet which is nice but also very close to the center and walking distance to the train station. I stayed here for three nights and would definitely recommend.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The bathroom in our room had serious mold all over the ceiling, tiles and floor. We asked to be moved to another room, but the hotel was booked. Management sent someone up to try to clean the areas, but it was still really bad. For that much mold to accumulate tells me more training is needed on how to clean a bathroom properly. Getting a taxi was very challenging, had to walk to nearby attractions to get a cab.

O hotel é muito antigo e precário. As janelas são difíceis de movimentar. No banheiro, itens como saboneteira e pendurador de toalhas são inexistentes. Apesar de constar que o hotel tem elevador, isso não é verdade. É para uso exclusivo dos funcionários. Tivemos que subir com malas pesadas por estreita escada. Não volto e não recomendo.

Amazing hotel close to the centre perfect for walkers around 15 mins to the cathedral. Very classic Italian hotel with lots of attention to detail. Also clean and provided everything we needed. Break fast was great too even with the current COVID-19 restrictions. It seems a little strange at first as it’s a resident block but once your are in the hotel it’s very classical and artistic. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A lovely hotel to stay in. The location is excellent and close to all the main attractions. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was good and had all the needed amenities. The air con was good and wifi was ok, a bit slow at times. The breakfast was nice, in a cafe type room. There were warm croissants and pain au chocolate. Hot drinks, fruit juices and water. Cereals and toast. There is a lovely outside area you can eat breakfast in. Overall a great place to stay.

The hotel was nice and fairly well located. The breakfast buffet was good but I wouldn't necessarily categorize it as a buffet. There was yogurt, toast, cereal, cheese and cold cuts. The food was good but a bit spare to be called a buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Staff was nice and helpful , hotel later cation is 20 min walk from the center and action As you expected in old city it is old and noisy especially if you book with Expedia you face the street in first floor. The drain in shower was clogged and you shower in a pool , internet was slow and not relatable , the guy at brakfast makes horrible capucino and be at breakfast no later than 8 am if you want to eat . Not sure who rated this hotel 3 stars but go and look at other 3 star hotel in the city , this owner just milk it and does not invest back in the hotel . The room are not inviting and have a cave feel to it as they long and narrow

Avoid as feral kids in hotel ruin the lovely city
This hotel is used as youth hostel with group after group of 30-50 kids. Our 2 nights were the worst of our 2 weeks holiday in Italy. The kids were like feral animals grouping in rooms & corridors shouting singing chatting loud until 1am on night 1. We complained & was moved but they were all over the hotel & the room next to us & the upstairs corridor was as bad as night 1. We shouted at then enough we want to sleep at gone 11pm. The teachers had no control. The following morning same as day 1 with shouting in corridors banging doors & complete lack of respect. The hotel should not allow normal people to stay when they have these large groups of feral kids. As we left the next group of kids arrived to terrorise the guests further... ...

Florence, get your accom industry in line.
This hotel is a case in point of the quality problem of hotels in Italy and specifically Florence, which give themselves a 3 star rating. They are generally in dire need of renovation, as this one was. The staff were friendly and accommodating and changed my room on request to one off the busy street. The nasty suprise came when I was getting ready for bed and found no hot water coming through. The problem persisted the next morning. They said the gas line had been shut off for the whole building. Maybe not their fault but shouldn’t the customer be compensated in some way? They apparently didn’t think so. I was there for one night and couldn’t even have a shower! I complained to hotels.com and was told they pursued it ‘beyond the normal process’ and gave me a $12 coupon. Sorry, not good enough . I paid for a 3 star accomodation. No shower, no shave. I’d have done better in a yoIt’s hostel.

The bathroom of the hotel has been renovated 3 years ago, I think they looks good and perfect for a 3 stars hotel. The hotel is on a very old building from 1500 and we cannot do all the renovation we want of course becouse the City Florence Council want to protect the ancient building. We are sorry for the heating but it's not our fault, I understand your disappointing about this, and I only can be sorry.

Hotel Cimabue Florence (firenze) Family stay 4
Pretty good location, far enough from the centre of everything to be peaceful but close enough to walk to the major attractions. Rooms were a little dates. The high ceilings were pretty though practicality was impacted with hot nights due to inadequate aircon, though the Windows were reluctantly opened due to hungry mozzies and roadworks outside from 8am. Breakfast was ok, standard fare and inclusive with the room. Staff helpful and pleasant. Room attendants did a good job of keeping our roon looking tidy (even with untidty kids) . Given the high cost of staying in Florence these days it is a good option for those on a budget yet wanting to stay fairly close to the main sights.

Good location and helpful staff
We stayed here 3 nights. The first night our room was right by the lobby and very loud in the morning. We asked to move rooms the next night and it was very quiet. So would recommend requesting a room away from lobby. Breakfast was simple but more than enough and tasty. Bathroom small but was clean. This is a good hotel for the price. 10 min walk or so from main piazza. Staff always helpful and welcoming.

Charming and cozy hotel!!
I arrived at the hotel and Monica and her well trained and efficient staff were so welcoming and helpful in all of my needs and requests. They were a pleasure and helped my stay in Italy comfortable and safe. It was an all around magnificent experience and the hotel is so cute and charming!! I would definitely return to stay. This was a good hotel not far from main attractions. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful whenever I had questions. But maybe would be worth to spend a few more bucks for something else.

Good hotel but noisy
The door locks were very loud as were the doors when opening and closing. Lots of banging! A group of young adults were staying there and made lots of noise at night. Breakfasts were less than average.

Peaceful location - near to transport links
Mid-September stay: loved the traditional building and setting; very peaceful room, much appreciated by someone who has terrible sleep habits; very comfortable bed; low noise from air conditioning/fridge - not all rooms have a fridge; great coffee - reasonable continental breakfast; quick check-in/check-out - chirpy young lady on reception. A very good experience. :)

Nice little hotel, right in the heart of Florence
Easy walk to pretty much all the main attractions in Florence, and really helpful staff who can assist with planning trips to the various cathedrals and galleries. We were also given a map of the city on the first day which was very useful. Included breakfast was good and the room and attached bathroom were spacious and neat. The air-conditioning was much appreciated in the summer heat!
