Despite the fact that the rooms say they don't smoke, the bad smell of cigarettes was unbearable, I had to change rooms twice since the bad smell of cigarettes and an old place was too unbearable

I spent my birthday at Brownwood. It was an amazing place to stay. Everything was top tier. I really enjoyed the spa and all of the amenities. It’s really a hidden gem.

Overall it was a good stay. Unfortunately, the bedding and couch had dog and/or cat hair all over it; which made for a bad time for my daughter whom is allergic to both. Thankfully I bring my own sheets. Fridge was not cleaned behind the handles, so I was grabbing onto sticky dried up food.
