Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Emaokou escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
