Hotel sent email after booking in French asking if i wanted breakfast. Emailed them back in English, apologized for not speaking French and said yes please. Never heard back at all.
Showed up at 7pm Sunday night. Hotel is all dark, no lights on, front door open to a small dark alley where my room key is in an envelop with my name on it. Security concern as a solo female traveler. Hotel is dark, not a single person around. Room has a single lock with front door wide open, no front lights on and no person in the building.
The first time a person showed up was at 7am - when i was leaving to get to work by 8am. No English, breakfast is ready, not a very good one but there is food to eat. Except at this time i don't have time anymore. Ask for a paper cup to take my coffee - there is none. Ask for breakfast 10 min early rest of trip to take. Not possible.
Got other hotel. Went back in the evening, tried to explain to the lady that i need to check out and will pay for the rest of my booking right now. She proceeded to yell at me in French and giving me very dismissing gestures, even while i was paying. Judging by the tone she probably cursed me out.
Will be visiting Flers several times for business in the next year - not going near this place again.
Bref ! What else ?...
