"Auch wenn der Kontakt zur Vermieterin im Vorhinein sehr positiv war sind wir doch entsetzt über die Wohnung! Wodka in der Küche und Zigarette im Kinderbett sind nur zwei der Dinge über die wir entsetzt waren und von den Vormietern wohl dagelassen wurden. Eine Waschmaschine haben wir nicht gefunden! Wäre die Wohnung sauberer und gepflegter wäre der Aufenthalt für uns gut gewesen! Und Baustelle ist auch vor der Tür! Mit Kindern nicht geeignet!"

"Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in dem gemütlichen Schlummerfass und der idyllischen Umgebung. Außerdem wurden wir sehr nett begrüßt. Schade war nur, dass es kein Waschbecken und keinen Spiegel im WC Häusschen oder im Fass selber gab. Zähne putzen, Hände waschen, abschminken / Gesicht waschen waren quasi unmöglich. "The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."
