"We were breaking our journey from Marseilles to Ouistreham and the spot seemed ideal just off Motorway and complete with choice of petrol stations. However, the hotel address on both Satnavs took us to a point where there was no hotel visible. After nearly an hour of back and forth following directions from locals, we ended up being escorted by one very nice local to the hotel situated down what appeared to be a track leading to an Industrial estate where the hotel did not become evident until we had driven about 400 metres from the road. The hotel should state on its website that you turn left just before Ritchies Diner and it is 400 metres down the lane with no indication it is there until you are actually in front of it."

"A charming and well equipped house in a beautiful and peaceful village. We loved getting fresh croissants from the bakery in the morning, and sitting on the terrace as the sun set after a busy day sightseeing in the surrounding towns and countryside. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. A truly relaxing break."

"It took us some time to find the property but staying at the Domaine was worthwhile the search. Upon our arrival at the reception, we were confused about which room we were supposed to get. It ended up that we received an upgrade in the form of a suite. We stayed one night but hope to return next year again for a few nights more. Cycling in the area would be our goal, and also to try out the many great restaurants in this countryside village. We can recommend this secret hide-out to rest seekers and food 7 wine / lovers. "

"Good: Beautiful and very quiet and peaceful location. Great for hikes and trail runs. Comfortable enough apartment on the grounds of a spectacular 15th c.Priory. Fab bbq’s and swimming in the little pool. Felt very safe and private. Host was very friendly and gave us the freedom of her lovely home. Less Good: - Depending on what you like this could be good: There is nothing at all within walking distance of the accom. You need to drive to Fleury (15 mins) for the supermarket or a restaurant. Nowhere for a coffee etc within 20 mins drive. - No aircon (it was broken) so it was very hot. We bought some fans to make it liveable. - Tennis court is 15 years past it’s best and isn’t really playable. - The kitchenette is very small but everything worked. - The pool was plagued by flies which were a bit of a nuisance. Overall this worked great for the 4 of us (2 adts and 2 kids) but not sure would be so comfy for a bigger group."

"My family of 4 stayed in this apartment/house in the middle of summer 2023, and had a lovely time. The house was neat and clean, and had everything we needed - normally previous guests leave behind a little oil and salt, pepper etc. (we normally rely on this and always leave things in return), however we weren't so lucky this time! The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable, but my kids had a bit of trouble sleeping in the guest bedroom. As expected the house is old and creaky and this is part of its charm. We loved the town, and the townsfolk were generally very polite, although I wonder how much they like having tourists in their community. The local sweet shop is an absolute treasure, and is alone worth a visit to the town. So to are the night time walks of the town, and the time spent "cat spotting" each evening. There is a small local grocery store for local essentials, a bakery with excellent bread - but in these small towns, the opening hours can be erratic so it is likely you'll need to make the 10 minute drive to the nearest town to stock up on supplies. Don't count on the local restaurant and bar to be open either. It's not very clear in the description, but you will be charged for linen and towels - for us, it was 70 euro. You may also be charged for electricity if you're staying in winter. We loved our stay, but some of the communications could be better translated (or not at all; which may actually be easier to read)."

"Nice short stay villa, good facilities. Very quiet location with great walking access to Flaviny. The owner was very responsive to our queries. We ordered some food which was excellent after a long drive."
