Finland Minnesota 2 bedrooms, 1 bath

Two bedrooms with 1 queen & 1 double bed, full kitchen, television and gas fireplace, original maple hardwood floors in living room and 1 bedroom, Cork floors in kitchen and master bedroom. Ceramic tiled entry and bathroom, walk in shower and separate claw foot tub on lower level. Walk out basement with direct access to trail system. Newly landscaped with large lawn area. Home was completely gutted with brand new electrical, plumbing & heating systems installed. Spray foam insulation was added to be energy efficient and eliminate outside noise. We added central air-conditioning, in time for summer heat waves. We are connected to WI FI.

North Shore Getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sisu house. Diane was very welcoming and had everything we needed. Our kids enjoyed the fire pit and looking through the books about Minnesota while relaxing in the living room. There is so much to do nearby, we explored several state parks. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome Getaway

Another relaxing and fun vacation! The Sisu House is our go-to every winter. The hosts provide wonderful accommodations and are very responsive. We appreciate the opportunity to stay here year after year!

Sisu house

Very clean and well kept. If you come with babies, consider bringing a gate for the stairway. Bathroom is downstairs, living area is upstairs. Owner was helpful and obviously loves this little house. Would definitely recommend bringing bugspray if you plan on being outside later in day. Will stay here next time we come.

Perfect for Snowmobilers

This home was perfect for our family of four. We stayed for a weekend of snowmobiling and this location was wonderful. Plenty of space to park truck and trailer. Home was beautiful and was equipped wonderfully. Only suggestion would be a more comfortable couch. Diane was an excellent and very responsive host.

Base camp

We used the cabin as our base camp for our Father and Son hunting trip. We have stayed here before and will again. We love it! So comfortable and inviting. Works very well for our group of 4.

Pleasant Place

Lovely little home tucked in the woods. Close to many State Parks and other towns. The owners Diane and Erica are very hospitable. Provided a very comfortable home with all the amenities you would need. We loved our stay and highly recommend!

North Shore Getaway

This was the perfect location for our long weekend. Close to hiking trails and bike routes and a short drive to explore other areas like Ely or Grand Marais. The property was recently remodeled and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing up north getaway

Diane’s place was perfect for me and my 2 adult children. The house has been completely renovated and was immaculate at check-in. We grilled out, had a campfire and played games while we were there. It’s close by to some great hiking trails and state parks. Loved our stay at Sisu!

Great basecamp

We have done a good deal of camping up on the north shore over the years. This was a great alternative in order to have a bed/fireplace/kitchen after a day of hiking, snowboarding and general exploring of the area. The house was really clean and well stocked. We had a great week.

We love this cabin! So cozy. Went xc skiing in Isabella flathorn trails. Close to state parks. Cooked great meals. Loved the fireplace. Wonderful decor , learned all about Sisu reading the books!

Lovely Cottage

Sisu House is a gem. This was our 2nd time staying here as a family. It is very clean, beautiful, well-maintained, and cozy home. The kitchen is well-stocked, and our kids appreciated a lot of room in the backyard to play and have a bonfire. Close to many of our favorite places on the North Shore. Diane is a wonderful host. Highly recommend!

Base Camp

It was truly a great place for base camp. We didn’t spend much time at the house because we were up there to specifically see the State Parks. With that being said we couldn’t have gotten a better location minutes within several state parks. I wish the bug situation was a little better so we could’ve sat by a campfire but it is what it is being up north! Outside of that it was a great stay.

Quaint get-away!

For our family of three people, this property was a perfect size. Our teenage son had his own bedroom, which made him happy. We loved the charm of this little cottage plus all the modern amenities, updated decor, and cleanliness. We'd love to stay here again, as we loved how we had our own private place away from the world and hustle and bustle of all the other touristy hotels and resorts. Nearby restaurants, food co-op, and gasoline station provided us with everything we needed, and nothing more.

Another Splendid Stay at Sisu House!

My husband Paul and I recently stayed for a long weekend at the Wonderful Sisu House in Finland, Mn. This was our second stay at this peaceful, lovely and charming property, and it will not be our last! :) Diane is an amazing host! The house is beyond cozy and Finland is Beautiful. Plus, it's a prime location for the plethora of surrounding attractions. Do not hesitate to rent this North Shore gem!
