"Property was quite tired in places and not brilliantly laid out with accommodation across three towers and maybe 15 floors. Only four bedrooms per floor so you spend an inordinate amount of time waiting for lifts which are slow and very wobbly. We got stuck in one on one day but staff came relatively quickly to get us out. There’s lots on with some form of entertainment every couple of hours. Drinks are very generously poured. Food was ok. "Many reviews said the Almerante could be a 4 star and having now stayed there I agree. It is modern, well maintained and very clean. Staff were all polite and helpful. Breakfast items were all good quality though the choice is not as wide as I have experienced elsewhere. Still it was more than adequate. The pool was nice as well, no problem with sunbeds. It is a quiet hotel, which for us was fine. "
