"The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"Antonio was very accommodating, he gave us a personal tour of the museum and chapel in the village. The community pool was very refreshing. A remote village, perfect for a rejuvenating vacation."

"Had a lovely time staying here only spoiled by the very awkward steps into the property which is supposed to wheelchair accessible other than that I can thoroughly recommend this beautiful “Quinta” for couples, families with children etc older relatives may struggle with acces also Internet isn’t always available but overall in a nice setting with lots of animals to keep you amused."

"We had a fantastic holiday. Martine and Dirk are lovely hosts, so welcoming and friendly. The house and the pool are immaculate and very well looked after. We arrived to a fridge full of goodies and food for our first evening - a lovely surprise. Lots to see and do nearby and they provided fantastic suggestions for local restaurants which are not too far away. The pool is perfectly situated and is bathed in sun all day. They have a fabulous pool side house where you can also rest in the shade....

"The house is lovely. We particularly loved the outside kitchen, dining and lounge area and we used this a great deal. The pool was also great. The house is in a good location in a small hamlet but there are no facilities there so you do need to drive everywhere. It is about 20min drive to Coimbra which is a very pretty old city and definitely worth a visit. The Atlantic coast is about 45min drive where there are beautiful long sandy beaches. The only downside for us was the proximity to the A13...

"My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The negative was that do to the fires the amounts around the property were burned and the property was a bit farther from civilization then originally thought. However the home itself was very clean and secure."
