Quaint Riad in the heart of the Medina. Paul and Staff were fantastic. Peaceful and relaxing from our balcony overlooking the lush gardens in the center of the property. Pool is small but great for cooling off. Onsite restaurant is 5 out of 5 for food and wait staff. Really cant go wrong with this place.
Historic setting, stunning gardens, all star staff
In Fes for business, I found in the Jardins des Biehn both an ideal location, garden and restaurant for informal business meetings and meals (great by the way), and a professional, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Five stars all around.
And of course, the gardens are sublime
The hotel is set in a large garden, which is beautiful and relaxing amidst the bustling backdrop of the Fes Medina. The rooms are traditional and a little funky — ours was large, but it’s more like staying in a bed and breakfast than an upscale hotel. Our room smelled of smoke from the fireplace and could have been a little cleaner. That’s not necessarily a critique, but if you want an upscale hotel experience this is probably not it. All in all, a positive experience.
Stunning hotel in the heart of the medina, just one thing that’s not clear is that you cannot drive to the hotel you have to walk the last bit. The staff are great, happy to sort or arrange anything. There are lots of noks and crannies to discover. The restaurant is very good as well.
What makes the experience at Jardin des Biehn is the care and courtesy of its staff. I felt a personal investment by and from each of the staff I encountered in making my stay special and tranquil.
Jardin des Biehn is so guest-friendly and accommodating. My favorite place in Fes having stayed there two times in one year. Amazing staff, caring and polite. Good food at café, wonderful garden, beautiful rooms with first class amenities. The owner and his family are gracious and inclusive of their guests.
My go-to place each time I will be in Morocco.

A truly beautiful hotel, with charming rooms, each unique in design and furnishing, and a radiant garden, filled with birds. There are Greek tortoises and a long koi pool. A rooftop patio and another roof view overlooking the city. The cafe is superb, and the staff even better---sensitive, good natured, generous, entirely competent, ready to help or give you space. The primary languages are Arabic, French, and English. We stayed a week in a suite of rooms with a patio in the treetops and we wish we could go right back.
Individuell eingerichtete Zimmer in gediegenem traditionellem Stil. Sehr gutes Bett, sehr sauber.
A real gem and haven of tranquillity in the middle of the medina. Plus wonderful food - best in Morocco. And well organised by an excellent and helpful staff.
Arriving at Jardin des Biehn is like waking up and finding yourself in a garden of delights. Out of the concrete and walled Medina, one walks into a peaceful green scenery and a rambling riad, with a room here and there, each one totally private. Our room, with a large second floor balcony overlooking the garden, was filled with gorgeous design details right out of the Moroccan bible of interior design. Their funky and colourful Fes Cafe, spilling out into the garden, offered us one of the best meals we had on our trip. The breakfasts were wonderful - fresh breads, wonderful coffee, all presented in charming chinaware setting by a lovely quiet Moroccan lady. Frankly, I could have sat all day enjoying the view from the rocking chair on that second hand balcony... And did I mention the early morning yoga class for friends that the owner Catherine invited me to? For this riad, a 5 star rating is just not high enough.
