"Loved my charming Quinta do Guerra experience. The house is large, comfortable and sparkling clean. The kitchen is very well outfitted. The house is made for outdoor living with multiple lounging areas, beautiful views, the sound of the wind through the pine trees and of course the pool and hot tub. "My friend and I were staying here on a trip viewing property to buy in the area. The nicest house we saw on the trip was the one we were staying in! It is every bit as good as it seems in the photos - especially the garden area. A great place to soak up the Portuguese sunshine. Jose, the owner was there to greet us and was very helpful. Although one probably does need a car to stay here although we did walk to Penela one day - 3.2 miles. - perfectly do-able."

"This was the most relaxing stay! We were deep in the countryside in our own stone village with great amenities and fresh bread, fruit, cheese, jam and honey for our kitchen every day. No restaurant on site or in walking distance but it was fun and challenging diving around exploring the region on back roads to get to the each town with its castle and church. "

Really spacious with lots of different seating areas inside and out.
