"Usually this place is 5 stars. So many issues this stay (I've stayed at this place a lot).
The day before, I got a local call from the hotel, no voicemail. I redialed the number and was assured by the front desk my reservation was fine. I asked if the pool and hot tub were working and told they were.
On the day of, the key didn't work right away, so they reprogrammed the door. Then one the lights didn't work. They gave us a lightbulb to fix it. It worked for a minute then died. We had to be moved to a new room. The hot tub was broken, I had called the day before and was told it was fine. Then the next day the pool said it was closed until evening. I called the office and they told me it didn't open until later, but we've always been told it opened at 9 am (the lady who checked us in said 9 am too).
The manager did a poor job of listening to my concerns. She told me Expedia must have called the day before. Why would Expedia know anything about the pool condition? And I pointed out that I was talking to her because I refused the number. I only had the direct line because the front desk had called me (hence our day before call confirming the pool worked). She said the hours of the pool were 10-10 which is not what we had been told. She said the pool hours were posted in the pool room. When it did finally open, I looked at the sign. No hours. None anywhere. She totally lied.
No "I am sorry about your experience." Just inferring that I couldn't be telling the truth. Awful."
