"Check-in was super easy. The desk worker was very friendly. I asked for the ground floor. She also brought us extra pillows. It is no frills, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet area. We easily found restaurants and shopping. Easy access to 95. Plenty of parking. No breakfast, but fresh coffee. We would stay there again. "

"About what you would expect from this chain. Not the nicest looking on the outside or even the hallways. The room was comfy and could use some updating and carpet replacement. Front desk clerk was very nice at check. "

"The owners are trying to make things nice in the older motel. They were friendly. If you need something cheap, this is good enough. "

"The room I was provided looked nothing like the one in the photo. The carpet was dirty, there were roaches present, the room did not have a table similar to the one in the photo, the bathroom did not even have a roll of toilet paper. When I asked for extra towels, we were told none were available. Like the old saying goes, 'you get what you pay for'."

"The attendant at the front was rude from the minute I came in to the second I left. Then I get to the room and no tv ( it wouldn’t even power on) let’s just say I would never stay here again. "

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at The Sunrise Cottage. Beautiful views of the lake! The house was so clean and we appreciated that very much. Knowing that we were celebrating a Birthday, there were happy birthday balloons and candles. Good thing since I forgot 😳. So thoughtful! The homemade Quiche was outstanding as well as the Coffee Bar! Would definitely recommend! Thanks, Andrea & Troy"

"Just what we needed while in Powhatan for a wedding. Tracy was very helpful and the house was perfect for us."

"The house was perfect we was in town for a fishing trip. The house had accesss to the lake with a dock to park a boat at. The hows was clean and easy check in process. Loved the stay and will rebook in the future."
