You check in at a restaurant up the hill and one of the staff then takes you to the apartment. Free parking nearby. Only real negatives were the shower cubicle which was way too small and quite a few mozzies in the evening when drinking wine on the terrace…"

"Travels as a family of 3. Our room(s) were fantastic. Steps from all the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to piran. And the kids lived the large indoor pool. Breakfast was great."

Grand Hotel Bernardin - Sava Hotels & Resorts

"Hôtel bien situé au bord de la mer et de Piran. Grande chambre spacieuse avec balcon et vue sur la mer. La vue est incroyable! Déjeuner avec beaucoup de variété. Une hôtel très impressionnante. La piscine mérite un petit upgrade mais en general très bien, Une hôtel à découvrir."

Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection

8/10 Good

"The room was clean and towels were refreshed daily. Buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel were good. The Oleander restaurant was also good but in the trees so bug spray is needed. The water in the main pool was colder than the sea, and the spa pool was cool despite, supposedly, being heated. The staff were great and many made a fuss of our 4 year old. There is no local bus or hotel shuttle to the Old Town. This is only a short walk for adults but several times we returned to the hotel by taxi (never charged more than 10 Euros though). All in all, this is an excellent location and a great holiday destination. Airport transfers were excellent, booked through Maistra link."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Farini?

The best time to go to Farini is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds. These shoulder seasons offer warm, sunny days superb for exploring the Istrian countryside and coastline, with average temperatures in the low to mid-20s Celsius. You'll find that popular attractions are less busy than in the peak summer months, and accommodation prices can be more favourable. It's an excellent time for couples looking for a relaxed holiday with opportunities for outdoor activities like cycling or visiting local vineyards. For families, the summer months of July and August are also a good option, especially if you're planning to spend a lot of time by the sea. While it can be warmer and busier, the sea temperatures are at their highest, which is ideal for swimming and water sports.
