About this property
Farm yurt with private apartment
A real Mongolian yurt, very cheerful and colorful facing nature and wood, farm animals to pamper (alpacas, mini-goats, donkeys, sheep, ponies, rabbits...), walks or bike rides discovering the hills of Artois, a snack on the pretty Places d'Arras at the foot of the belfry, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and France's favorite monument in 2015...
This weekend, disconnection and family reunion in direct contact with nature and animals! Gaëtan and his wife Clara welcome you to a Mongolian yurt facing nature.
A unique unusual experience that children will tell you about for a long time. The wooden mill farm, in Farbus, near Arras, is an educational farm that your hosts will show you around whenever you wish. Children will love cuddling the little rabbits, stroking Etna and Caramel, the ponies, Prunelle, the donkey, Coco the goat, Phébus and Paquito the alpacas, or even feeding Minnie the pig... not forgetting Rumba and Largo the dogs that accompany the visit! Here, we love and pamper animals.
After this discovery of the farm, the night will be soft and comfortable in a real Mongolian yurt, all colored inside and painted by hand. If the weather permits, open the panoramic roof and observe the starry sky! Right next to the yurt, a room with kitchen, reading, board games and toilets is entirely dedicated to you. And in good weather, picnic table and relaxation area are located just in front of the yurt, facing nature and the woods; moreover, you may see deer, deer, wild boar... and you will inevitably hear the chirping of birds. A complete change of scenery, you will appreciate the peacefulness of the place.

After this discovery of the farm, the night will be sweet and comfortable in a real Mongolian yurt, all coloured inside and painted by hand. If the weather is good, open the panoramic roof and watch the starry sky! Right next to the yurt, a room with kitchen, reading, board games and sanitary facilities is entirely dedicated to you. And when the weather is fine, there is a picnic table and a relaxation area just in front of the yurt, facing the nature and the woods; you may even see deer, roe deer, wild boar... and you will certainly hear the birds chirping.
You'll be in great shape as you set off to discover the Artois hills, perhaps on an electric bike, which your host hires out with all the necessary safety equipment, even child seats if necessary. We also suggest that you prepare a picnic basket (with extra charge) and go for a little ride in Canada! Yes, you are less than 2km from the Vimy Memorial, on Canadian territory. Here's an anecdote that will amaze your friends! And the view from the Collines de l'Artois is worth a diversion or even a short family hike. Before returning, don't forget to make a stop in Arras.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Before we arrived we received very informative communication from the hosts about check in. We was given the option to meet the hosts or self check in. We decided to meet the owners and so glad we did they are so friendly and took the extra time with us to overcome the language barriers. The yurt itself was amazing we wish we had stayed a week or more. The room that comes with the yurt has everything you need for cooking and showering. Everything is catered for and we enjoyed playing some French board games as a family. The hosts took us all around the farm to see and meet the animals this was optional but highly recommended. We loved this little hidden gem and will definitely return as I don't even sleep that well at home . Thank you for a lovely stay

A fun Yurt experience on a small animal farm with good extra facilities
Our hosts were very nice and the Yurt is very prettily set up inside. The kitchen and bathing facilities in a separate building are large, comfortable and well-equipped. Shower was great.
The only complaints I have are that the Yurt in very moldy inside and the smell of mold is really a concern. We stayed 2 nights and when we reached our subsequent destination, all of the clothes in our luggage smelled mildewy from it and needed to be washed. On the second night, we burned a strong scented candle that we bought in town, in order to make sleeping more pleasant. I am not sure how disinfecting a yurt is accomplished, but it would make the experience much much better if it was done.
My other is that I understood that it would be possible to acquire local organic produce, but when I asked, there was nothing available.

Amazing! So glad we tried something different.
We all had a really good night sleep in the yurt. It was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen, eating area and bathrooms are large. The owners are so friendly. It is a learning farm. The kids feed some of the animals, held them and helped to put them away at night. I enjoyed it to. Great location close to Vimy.

Wij komen graag terug.
Bedankt!

Great location and facilities. No pubs in the area though.
The yurt was great! Lots of room for 3 army vets with ruck sacks. Adjacent building had everything needed except for laundry. Great location for self guided tours. A great 15km walk through fields and woods to Vimy ridge and back is an experience you won't get by bus.

Charming accomodation, lovely couple! Great for kids. Would stay again!
Lovely accommodation in Northern France. Very easy to find. The Yurt is a nice change from the norm, very spacious (myself, my husband and four children had plenty of room), clean and comfortable. Our first night was a chilly day, and the Yurt was lovely and warm. On our return journey, there was a mini-heatwave, but with the roof window, it was lovely and cool! The associated kitchen/bathroom facilities were well stocked and very clean. It was lovely to be able to visit the farm. The children very much enjoyed feeding the animals (including hand feeding a chicken!), and helping to round them up to bed. Would not hesistate to stay again!

No better place to visit Vimy Ridge from...
What a great place to stay while visiting Vimy Ridge. We liked being so close that we could visit the Vimy monument at night, it was so beautifully lit up. Our children loved interacting with the animals, especially the baby goats and the fresh eggs were amazing!
It is not often one has a chance to stay in a 'made in Mongolia' yurt. For those who like a good walk or run there are many great trails that lead from the yurtl. We will definitly tell our friends about this place.
