It’s 5 O’Clock Here-Waterfront Cabin w/Hot Tub! Pet Friendly, Blue Ridge Parkway

Beautiful cabin, spotlessly clean sleeps 1-5 and has a HOT TUB on the front porch, just outside the master bedroom. We are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and our cabin is PET FRIENDLY (well-behaved dogs only!) Come stay at “It’s 5 O’Clock Here,” and enjoy the wonderful views, stocked fishing pond, fire pit with wood, free wifi/internet, the cool mountain weather, and all of the nearby activities. This cabin has all of the modern amenities. Our master bedroom features a queen-size memory foam mattress. Our loft bedroom is roomy and cozy and accessible by an interior ladder. We provide Keurig coffee maker, crockpots for easy cooking, and nice updated cookware.

The cabin includes a full kitchen with microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Our living room has a flat screen television and a stone fireplace (gas logs). Outside, enjoy our spacious front covered deck, fishing gear, Adirondack chairs, and pond view! There is a permanent outdoor charcoal grill right outside the door.

Travel to nearby Buffalo Mountain for a breathtaking Piedmont view hike, ride gravel or mountain bikes on the New River Trail (a 57-mile rail-to-trail starting in Galax, VA). Or, just sit on the covered front porch that overlooks the well-stocked pond and listen to the quiet.

The cabin is located 15 minutes away from Mt. Airy, NC (‘Mayberry’ from the Andy Griffith Show), Hillsville, VA, and 20 minutes from Galax, VA. There are numerous local restaurants, breweries, and wineries, and often live bluegrass music. Recently completed, “It’s Time to Unwine” is our second cabin. This cabin can be rented dually to accommodate larger families or groups. Contact us for details.

The cabin is less than 1/10 of a mile from Wellness Pursuits, and they offer yoga and fitness classes in a rural mountain setting.

While driving to the local wineries, stop by the local cherry, grape, apple and peach orchards, all within 15-30 minutes. Check out Mount Airy, NC, Andy Griffith's hometown Mayberry, and a great, thriving small town that is fun to visit!

This is a family-operated vacation home from the cabin detailing to the rental bookings. We are all proud of this home and want each and every guest to enjoy their stay. We do allow dogs and the area is dog friendly. We just ask for you to look after the cabin like it is yours. If any additional information is required during rentals, such as directions, supplies, etc., please call Laura or Dennis.

We had a perfect weekend at this peaceful, cozy cabin! Close to hiking and fun restaurants, yet with a calm and picturesque setting that helps stress melt away! Coffee and sunrise on the porch swing were magical! We went on a long hike with our pup and then relaxed in the hot tub before going out to dinner - Spotless and has everything that you need away from home! We will be back!!

Great weekend getaway!

Cozy cabin near Blue Ridge Parkway. Has everything you need for a weekend getaway - hot tub, fireplace, comfy bed, and kitchen (if you want to stay in and cook). Great location - close to BRP and lots of hiking trails and other things to explore. Cabin was extremely clean and well kept and the booking/check-in process was easy. Had a nice time and will likely book again!

Beautiful cabin on pond

Cabin was perfect! It was nice to have the “cabin” feel, but with the conveniences of WiFi, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc. The hot tub was a delight and we enjoyed catching fish in the pond. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect cabin

This was a short drive from Mt Airy after a day trip to "Mayberry". The beds were comfortable and my son loved the loft. We wish we had stayed longer. The owners were very responsive. The sunrise from the kitchen windows was beautiful! We hope to visit again.

Peaceful relaxation spot

We stayed here as part of a roadtrip through the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was very peaceful and relaxing- great to watch the birds from the farmers porch while swinging in the hanging rocker. We enjoyed the hot tub at night when it cooled off! Cabin itself was super clean and had everything we needed. Communication was easy and comprehensive- hosts even checked into local breweries for which were dog friendly for us! We hope to visit again!

Beautiful little tiny home cabin. Pond on the property for fishing. Hot tub, chairs, swing and table on front porch. Gas fire in the living room. Comfortable furniture and beds. Well stocked kitchen and bath. Cute upstairs loft for kids or other guest, if you can climb the ladder! Great place! Pet friendly and great place to walk your pup.

Everything you need to unplug

The property is very easy to get to and even though we had a lot of snow this week. I didn’t have any trouble with the local roads. The cabin had everything we needed, including a hot tub and gas fireplace. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The host communicated as needed. I would stay here again. I think, especially in the spring and fall. It would be sublime. 10 out of 10.

Wonderful Anniversary Getaway!

This property was a wonderful getaway weekend for my husband and me. The location was great and the cabin was very clean & well kept. It was the perfect weekend to celebrate 18 years of marriage. The only negative comment I could make would be that the couch in the den was very uncomfortable. I can't say that I blame them for not replacing it though in a rental property. We will absolutely be back! Owner was wonderful!

The property needs up grading the cook ware. It was in pretty bad shape. TV wasn't even a smart tv.

Owner needs to put some of their profit back into the cabin to enhance the overall appearance of the cabin. It was so small in the kitchen area, stove needs to be replaced. Overall the exterior of the cabin was awsome. Inside needs addressing and make it a little more effective during the stay.

A perfect little get away!

We love staying in this pretty cozy cabin with a beautiful view of a lake. There are wonderful restaurants nearby and plenty of activities such as fishing, hiking or visiting nearby wineries. Hostess is very nice too, can't wait to come back!
