"We are a family of 4 and booked a garden view apartment. We cooked in the apartment which is very well equipped. The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a cliff over an amazing beach which is a 5 minute walk. There is a bar by the pool serving all sorts of food. Lagos is a 50 minute walk through the scenic route passing Ponta da Piedade/Praia do Camilo/Praia de Dona Ana, some of the “must see sites” in Algarve. You can also catch a bus to Lagos, stop is by the beach. Lagos is a beautiful town...

"My friend and I stayed at Marina Rio in October 2014. We enjoyed it then and it hasn't disappointed us on this visit. The bedrooms have been revamped, excellent! The breakfast has something for everyone and my only comment would be the tables are close together. (Understandably as you need a place for all the visitors). Lovely walk to the town, great walk by the sea on the 'new' boardwalk. Lots of lovely eateries etc. I hope to return. Thank you."

"This is a quiet resort situated right on the coast. There are no restaurants on site but there is a bar and breakfast can be arranged. Bruno, at the front desk, helped us when we had some maintenance concerns. Anastasia, who served breakfast, was delightful. Only negative was that the double bed was too small and soft. "

"This is one of the best apartment stays I’ve ever been in. The view of the ocean from the balcony, access to pool, cliff trails, downtown are amazing. Great space and well suited for a large group. Amazing for families as the pool, restaurant, beaches are all directly on property. A simple 10 walk to downtown and all the cafes, bars and restaurants. Best apartment ever!!!"

"I booked at around 8pm and drove 3 hours to get to the hotel and the door was locked I rang the door bell for 30 mins and nothing , yelled to get someone attention and nothing , don’t book this hotel with out calling first to see if someone is there working or you will be left outside "

"Beautiful place! When we first arrived I was in love. However the administration did not communicate well with the customer so we did not know requirements of our stay so things did not work out well. Did not really feel welcome from the admin although housekeeping was most considerate. The are is beautiful but you do need a vehicle. Beautiful beaches in Lagos and Lux!"

"Do not stay here. Upon arrival, we first were waiting outside for 30 mins waiting for instruction on how to get into the building when I finally received a message to come in. We then went into what we thought was supposed to be a private access room, which it was not. It was a room inside someone’s residence that had a lockable door and a private bathroom. It seemed off right from when we checked in, not to mention when we initially googled the location it showed up as another “Casa Falicidade”...

"Stayed at Hotel apartments for 10 days. Self catering service and so was able to experience the beautiful produce of the area. All products were bought from Suppermarkets but were very fresh and not far off to farm produce. We were welcomed by the owner, a very friendly host and very helpful. The Wi-fi was not brilliant but he allowed us to access it from his office. He was available at all times and made it possible for us to get a few extra items from stock rooms."
