"Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening and playing corn hole and bocci outside as well. "I grew up in Shamokin so I understand most of the homes are historically old and many are row houses. The host does a wonderful job of making the home feel welcoming. Loved the decor and fun layout. The bathroom is large and clean with great water pressure; that's always a bonus. ;)"

The man cave lives up to its name-- we spent a good deal of the weekend playing pool, darts, and card games, used the grill, and were just a few blocks off from some great food and liquor stores. I'd imagine any sort of group would enjoy coming here, though, given other advantages like access to trails and monuments in historic PA. Everything worked just as we wanted it to, and Mary's filled out the space to create a great place...

"The entire house was infested with Termites the kids was scared to death. We had to leave the house. We return home with a 10 hr drive with no rest or all. This was far the worst experience that ive had."

"This was a tremendous place to stay. It was exactly as described and pictured online. It was very clean and had lots of kitchen ware to use. The check in and check out were very clear and easy. Whenever I am back in the area I will absolutely be staying here again."

"Our family celebrated Thanksgiving here and it was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, from plates and glassware to pots and pans. The property had plenty of room too! A huge heated sunroom, a sizable great room, and a front porch with the best views of the lake. House came with a fire pit and canoes too and it is right on the beautiful lake. The only small issue we faced was bedrooms are right off the living room, but we were able to move out to the sunroom once...

"It’s a little house/ camper on the farm property. If you don’t mind glamping camper style- you’ll be fine. The deck was really cute to hang out on and it had a great view. The hot tub is not at the little house- it’s at the main house. We drove to it (mainly because it was chilly at night but can be walkable.) The rooms were very small, studio apartment like but still very cute. It had all the essentials and we were very happy with it. "

Its a red pleather couch with Knicks and a broken leg that lets it setting you at an upward/downward angle (I have pics). Some what we expected until the property owner/manager arrived to complain about a shared driveway parking that contractors were working on upon our stay. I even moved my vehicle at 7am for them.
