This is a large property that I suspect had religious connections in the past. It is one of three nearby properties that offers accommodation to long stay and short stay guests. My room was spotless but the general areas were somewhat chaotic as if it was a family home. Breakfast included some delicious homemade tray bake cakes and freshly made quiches.
It would’ve been nice if they had a shuttle from the airport to enhance the experience. The bathroom was old but well maintained and had a Jacuzzi tub. We actually really enjoyed. It was delightful and breakfast was good.
The inn was a short lyft ride from the airport. We did take public transportation which was about 1/4 mile away. The breakfast was homemade and very good.
The beds were comfortable and the common area had enough seating .
Clean but dated. Staff were great. No issue. We will stay again.

The personal were all very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom window was stuck open, which made it the have some outside noise. The main noise came from the check in lobby directly outside room. There are step stairs so I would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
It is a unique bed and breakfast. They had coffee easily available for you in the kitchen and even on the second floor. The breakfast room opened at 7:30, and was busy from the get go. There was an egg casserole of some kind every day and some kind of homemade baked good. Plus yogurts, waffles, cereal. We stayed at the main property.

You get what you pay for, no air conditioning, rooms on 3rd floor but elevator doesn't work, stayed 6 nights never changed the sheets, only got clean towels twice. Staff was helpful when we had a problem but had requested a king bed but didn't get it
When we first pulled up to the 7 Gables Inn we thought we had made a wrong turn. The confusion was that we thought we had booked a motel. Once we made our way upstairs we found a beautiful room and a gracious host who provided a delicious breakfast the next morning. I would definitely recommend this stay.
We had a nice stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. It's a very unique layout. A little confusing when first arrived, but we figured it out soon enough.
Quiet area, staff was very friendly and helpful, lots of options on what to watch on the TV, and breakfast every morning. Second time staying here, and it is still the best option in my opinion.
The people are very friendly and the breakfast was great

Seven Gables is in a hospitality category that is strongly european.
This is a bed and breakfast, or a hostel with a private room.
My room was wonderfully clean, spacious and comfortable. I did sleep with earplugs due to the relatively close proximity to Fairbanks airport. But I slept well!
Note: seven Gables requires multiple flights of stairs to reach your room. If for any reason, your lifestyle and stairs do not mix well, this property should be avoided..
Price point was good.
The building features a large lawn space, a two story greenhouse and what appears to be passive solar intent.
It’s unusual. The entry features a ceiling mounted stained glass art piece of Old Testament biblical imagery.
A little wonk perhaps, but aren’t we all interested in a good story?
I’d stay there again. :)

It is a quite unique hotel. If you do not expect the Hilton it is a real deal. It is quite old but clean and the staff is very kind. The breakfast was phenomenal! The entrance is a shocker and the rooms have a 70’s feel but everything is maintained just quite old. They are clearly doing their best with what they have and providing what is most important: good service, a very low price and there is nothing like home cooked delicious breakfast in your first night in Alaska. Plus you are able to walk to the Museum of the north!
It was great for a one night stop. It was clean and comfortable. It does not have an elevator and there are steps to the first floor and a stair case to the rooms on the second floor. If you are on the first floor you might get noise from others checking in. The breakfast was good but was served on the second floor with steps to it.
7 Gables is the coziest place! It's a beautiful, warm, and quirky building filled with books, little nooks for working or relaxing. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and the home-cooked breakfast is excellent. My go-to place to stay when I'm in Fairbanks!
Staff was great and very kind, we were able to check in early which was so helpful in the cold. It was perfect for what we needed, cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view of snow capped trees.
Room was amazing. The heated floors and jacuzzi bath were just what you need after a long day or evening of cold weather activities. The host was a great resource of great places to eat and the daily breakfast was looked forward to every day. Delicious and strong coffee
