"We had a lovely stay at Askot Cottages and were sad to leave! The cottage was very cosy and has been very thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the gorgeous view from the big window. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights twice while we were there! Top Eyrarbakki Hotel Reviews

Frost and Fire Boutique Hotel

8/10 Good

"Cute little getaway though it seemed a little more outdated than the pictures showed. Very tiny bathroom with odd shaped shower. Sadly the sauna didn't go above 95 deg though we tried to figure it out for 2 hours and the hot tub closest to our room was also very lukewarm. Luckily we were upgraded to a room with a river view, though this put us right between the only other 2 parties also occupying this hotel at the time. The best part of this hotel was the included breakfast option with a nice view of the river to eat!"

"Hotel is next to the power plant, but otherwise nothing around it so beautiful nature views. Very dark at night for Northern Lights. The glass house and Northern Lights bar areas are really cool. The heated outdoor pool is interesting. We had a lovely soak...just note it's only a few feet deep. Food at Silfra was ok. We didn't stay for breakfast. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The ride through the parks to get here is STUNNING."
