The room was clean but the carpet was old and worn. Bed was comfortable and the bedding was pretty nice cotton. The restaurant had pretty nice food; very nice and thoughtful wait staff although they looked a bit rough. Loved the location. Went on the ghost investigation, which was fun.

It was neat staying at an old hotel. Knowing the history was helpful. Staff were great and hotel is in pretty good shape. However, there was some construction above our room at 7:30am. We were awake but most would not be.

The room was clean, big and open, yet had an "older" stale feel to it. The window AC had a hard time keeping the room cool. The bathroom was nicely tiled and the shower was great. We appreciated the extra bath towels in the room without having to bother housekeeping to bring more. We utilized the balcony and took our drinks out there from the bar. Very nice view of the park.

The hotel is right in the middle of downtown Eureka making it very convenient to walk anywhere downtown. The hotel itself has many daily activities. Our favorite was the wine tasting where we were able to go down into the speakeasy. Side note, the duck wontons in the bar are delicious!!

The Basin Park is in a perfect location for exploring historic downtown Eureka Springs and a short drive to The Great Passion Play. The complimentary shuttle services was great. Our double Queen room was spacious with a sitting room separating the large bathroom from the sleeping area. I would recommend The Basin Park to anyone visiting Eureka Springs.

Pros: Central spot downtown. Beautiful bathroom, large room. Nice to have a bar in the hotel, nice bartender and good cocktails. Convenient to other restaurants in town. Cons: The windows in the room looking out to the courtyard were so dirty that we couldn’t get much light into the room. A good deep clean of the whole building could do wonders. Tried to get seated in the restaurant, but the staff seemed busy and ignored us so we left. (Had a great dinner at The Grotto nearby).

Very nice place to stay. Staff were excellent. The burgers in the balcony restaurant were outstanding. The shuttle service was very good. We parked our car upon arrival and didn’t use it the whole time we were there. We walked or used the shuttle for the places we wanted to go.
