You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
☯ Private Roundhouse … Enchanting! (Not in a Box!)
☯ If you've never slept in the round before, you owe yourself! We all want to "think outside the box," but how about sleeping outside the box? — well, inside, but not in a box! Windows above & all around, 59,206 pennies beneath. ★ ☸ ★ Magic!
We love to design spaces that are not in a box. We want to give our guests an experience that is meaningful and memorable.
***************** "Enchanting, magical, uplifting" -- those are words used recently by our guests, describing this wonderful space. Twelve sides, windows all around, surrounded by nature, yet close to town. *****************
Picture a cabin made of cedar and glass. It has wi-fi, electric heat, a comfortable queen-sized bed, a chair for reading, a fold-out desk, and a table with a coffee pot. All the bare essentials, in one place.
It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your "get away from the bustle" contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit.
Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby.
The bathroom is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit.
With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room.
We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know.
===== P.S. For those using this service to find long-term rental options, we're not the least expensive alternative, but we've had several visitors stay for several weeks or a few months. Our rates already reflect long-term discounts of 25% or more, as calculated by the site.

My fiancé and I came down to explore Eugene. Our host recommended great dog parks and restaurants to try. The back yard is dreamy and was a relaxing stay for us.
Great experience staying here. It was small but comfortable, and I loved staying here. Bathroom is in a separate building, so I'm glad it didn't rain. A resident deer would greet me in the mornings and evenings almost every day.
I stayed at the Roundhouse to get away on my own and relax. It was very cosy and warm inside even with the snow. The decoration is nice and "rounded"very thoughtfully and practical for the space.
Definitely considering it again at a different time of year next time to be able to enjoy their beautiful garden.
My friend and I stayed here for two nights with my dog, and loved it. Not only is the location beautiful and the roundhouse really cool, but Don also really made the experience special. From a welcome message on a chalkboard when we arrived to customize postcards with the image of the roundhouse you can mail to family and friends, there were so many cute details that you just don’t get at a lot of other reaction rentals.
Definitely recommend!
We loved the dome above the bed, looking out at the stars. It was very comfortable and VERY quiet. Bring a flashlight (or a phone) to light your way to the bathroom; it wasn't a problem for us. And there is outdoor lighting too; but we are older folks... 70ish. I'd stay there again.
If you like unusual properties, this is the place for you. Kind of like “glamping”, the host anticipates your every need and provides all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting, indoors and out. The bedroom is a beautiful yurt with all kinds of hidden perks. The bathroom is in the main building that is accessed across a lush garden, complete with a quiet stream and a fragrant rose bush. It is an authentic Eugene experience.
Very quiet and peaceful setting, and loved the space within the roundhouse. I knew the bathroom was located in the main house, and that worked out fine. The outdoor kitchen was not well set up - no plates, bowls, etc. Had to contact Krystal, who brought some over to me (thanks!). The refrigerator could use a good clean. Otherwise a good stay.
Just needed a place to sleep to drive my son home from school. Given the hotels were 3x more expensive this worked out well and I was willing to “adapt in” to the bathroom being in the main house.
Such a cute, quirky, creative, beautiful place. We were lucky to hear the frog symphonies in the evening. So much fun! Don the host is the best. Truly everything you need and nothing you don’t.
I really enjoyed staying at the roundhouse. Its very quiet and well appointed. The detailing was done very well and there was ample space to use as a home base while visiting Eugene. You'll enjoy this space.
The roundhouse was an amazing time. It was the perfect compliment to our weekend in Eugene. The backyard was basically a nature preserve. The bed was amazing and the space was a wonderful hybrid of natural architecture with modern tech flare. We were walking distance to cafes, restaurants, parks and grocery stores We feel rejuvenated!
Don was very kind as a host. The property is beautiful. Garden, water features, and frogs singing in the night. Very quiet. The yurt is so restful, the bathroom is just a few steps away. Next time I come to Eugene, I'll check here first for availability.
Fun, outdoor living. Great room and easy access through the yard to an outdoor kitchen and bathroom. The roundhouse is fully equipped. We happened to be there when it was really hot and it was challenging to keep the roundhouse cool, so we spent our time exploring Eugene and played in the river to keep cool until the evening. Cute, unique place to stay.
