Several things went wrong, so I am not giving a better score. Nothing terribly wrong, but they need to clean some stuff up. Neat old town with some awesome sites to visit.

A very nice hotel in the centre of Fougeres. The rooms have been modernised and ours was excellent. The breakfast, too, was very good indeed.

Nice property with very friendly staff. Convenient location but road is busy so a bit noisy. Parking garage is very small, not usable for mid size or larger vehicles.

Good for the overnight stay. Good for the value. Staffs are highly professional and friendly. Few things worth to be noticed by the management are: 1) As soon as you enter into the lobby (seating area before going to the stairs), the entire lobby floor has strong bad smell from the toilet. That had made bad impression and unpleasant feeling every time when you in and out. 2) Room floor needs some deep cleaning. 3) Lobby and main entrance area need to maintain minimum lightings after sunset, even the electricity saving rule may taking place. 4) Hairdryer main body case and holder base were both fallen apart, the handle was very sticky. Needs more housekeeping attention. It could be dangerous for the guest as well.

The hotel ia right in the center ville with lots of history, places to see and fantastic shopping. We had the room to the street but on the 3rd floor, so t was perfect

The Hotel has no airconditioning, so you have to open the window at night. We had extremly loud live music in the pub across the street, so you couldn't sleep while the music was playing, aftewards a lot of traffic noise (motorcycles). The receptionist wasn't able to help, hotel was fully booked. Accdg to his word all room are to the street. This is no place to sleep at night! All the other criteria were ok, but if you can't sleep, that doesn't level it.

The room was clean and functional but we were on the piazza side of the building and it was noises particularly because we had our windows open for a while since there was no air conditioning.

Good stopover.
Hotel in general and our room in particular were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was not large but was comfortable as we could leave the window open overnight. (The town was not noisy). We visited in May but the lack of aircon would have been a severe disadvantage in high summer. Convenient location at the heart of the town. Free public parking nearby.

Would highly recommend
Based ourselves at Fougeres and travelled out daily. Perfect position to do this. Motorbike was in secure garage. Room was great. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would recommend highly.

Central and comfortable hotel
Centrally located hotel so good access to restaurants etc. The receptionist was very friendly and arranged an earlier than normal check in. Room quite small, though bathroom fine. Bed comfortable. Safe and tea available in room. All in all value for money

Very nice hotel perfectly positioned in beautiful Fougères. Friendly welcome, room was a bit small but good shower and had tea making facilities. Very good breakfast with a good level of choices. Overall v good value for money.

If you want a picturesque stay this is it
Excellent hotel ideally positioned to take advantage of this picturesque old town. The gardens surrounding the church are very well kept and clever with their modern ‘large’ objects dart? All in all an excellent short stay with great views and walks. The hotel staff were very helpful in tracing our missing plug lead. Well worth a visit.

Friendly front desk Johnathan. Spoke very good English. Room was nice. bathroom nice. Plenty of parking but, suggest contact with hotel on where exactly to park in advance. Nice location with places to eat and market across the street. Wife forgot her phone in room. Was recovered and mailed to us by staff. Big THANK YOU. I would stay here again. Close to St Milo and Mount St Micheal 30-45 min away. Wi-Fi was good

A tale of two halves!
The bedroom was pleasant enough but the bathroom gave me the feeling it was a wet room adapted for a disabled person, it even had a rail adjacent to the toilet! We did not sleep well due to being located adjacent to the lift shaft that was very, very noisy. There was no offer to show us to our room or to help with our luggage.

Have stayed in this Hotel severl times and it has always been perfect. The staff are helpfull and speak good English which is certainly much better than my French. It is worth it for the shower in room 406!

This hotel is in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, bars and the castle. The room was bright, airy and clean (however the toilet hadnt been flushed (P) in the room toilet when we checked in). The receptionist, despite not speaking english and my poor level of French, was very helpful indeed and was most welcoming.

It was the annual town celebrations and carnival procession so a front room would have been the icing on the cake! The staff were great, especially the young lady who checked us in. She was full of information regarding the celebrations. Our room was very comfortable

Great base for exploring
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel it was nicer than the pictures esp the bathroom. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and used it as a base for exploring the local area. About 30 mins from Mont St Michel. We booked a queen sized bed and it was ideal. We didn't stay for breakfast as we were up and out everyday but found a little baker around the corner and bought bread etc and stopped en route for picnics. However we did eat in the restaurant one eve which was nice. In summary lovely hotel were staff seemed genuinely happy to help and ensure you have a happy stay.

Great hotel in fantastic little villiage
We really enjoyed out stay here and would recommend it to anyone. The location was great, the hotel is clean and the room very pleasant. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

The staff were helpful, and the hotel clean. The room was dissapointingly small, but strangely with a huge bathroom & there was quite a bit of noise from the lift. breakfast was average, with no re-stocking and the hotel's staff seemed to be eating the lions-share! On the whole OK, but not the standard expected from a Best Western

Excellent location, very friendly and helpfull staff but expensive for the standard of room we were given. Also we were charged 44 euros for breakfast , 11 euros each and the children had one croissant and a glass of juice!

L'accès à l'hôtel en voiture pour la dépose est relativement limité quant au stationnement. La configuration de certaines chambres peut poser problème aux occupants. Accueil sympathique, petit-déjeuner varié et de qualité.

Nice stay but
It was nice stay, but our room was not cleaned while staying at the hotel . They said one have to hang on the door the sign to pleSe, clean my room if not they understand you don’t want your room to be cleaned. This is the first time I experience this. Breakfast limited options, just ok

Airco noodzakelijk
Onze kamer was op de 3de verdieping, (onder het dak). Er was geen airco dus zeer warm. Ramen open zetten kon niet vanwege het lawaai van het verkeer. Er was volgens ons, naar we zagen op het evacuatieplan geen brandtrap aanwezig, wat ik onbegrijpbaar vind. Ontbijt was goed.
