"The Hidden Gem flat in Alfama was perfect for us. Small, but not cramped, bright and airy, and exceptionally clean. The bonus was a washing machine. It was walkable to most areas and surrounded by lovely restaurants and Fado clubs. We had a few communication glitches, but all was resolved by check-in time. I would definitely recommend the Hidden Gem in Alfama to family and friends."

"There were cockroaches in the room where we stayed. The carpets were dirty and disgusting. When we complained, they upgraded us to a suite, but the damage had already been done. I couldn’t stop wondering if the new room had cockroaches too. I don’t think we will stay there again."
