Supposedly a 'superior room' our room was a total disappointment. The balcony was unusable. We were right on what was basically the m25 and although 7 floors up the traffic noise was deafening. I had to wear ear plugs to sleep and even then could still hear the traffic throughout the night. The whole point of a balcony is to throw open wide the doors step outside , relax, enjoy the view and the sunshine. The sun does'nt reach the balcony at all! At no time of the day was it on the balcony even if we could have enjoyed it.
Also, the room, because of it's position and lack of sunshine was freezing. I had to wear my bathrobe the whole time whilst in the room to keep warm.
Nice enough hotel but certainly would'nt go again. I complained about the room immediately we arrived and was told the hotel was full but it was like a ghost town most of the time!
Also, was exorbitantly expensive. We always stay in 5 star but these prices were breathtaking!
Lastly, the beach was also unusabe....well not the beach but the sea...you could'nt get to it! Obviously man made the shoreline was made up of huge, treacherous, boulders which were impossible to cross and when the sea was strong they pulled away from underfoot and were extremely dangerous. I walked...stumbled out a little way and had to return on all fours because I could not get a secure footing.
We checked in and were given a double upgrade to Room 412. If you can afford this room please request it as they do not come much better than this. There was very little in the way of information about anything the the hotel and spa offered. If we wanted anything we had to ask or find out about it ourselves.
The Staff were all very attentive if slightly overly busy to give everything there full attention. Breakfast was a little haphazard with
The hotel is nicely positioned outside Estepona which we prefer but you need a car to get around. The checkin was efficient and we were upgraded to a top of the range room. The complex was big and spacious on the beach...the actual beach was a rather grainy grey sand and positioned on the Costa Natura which meant we had quite a few naked people from the next hotel wandering along the beach which was entertaining.
The food at the hotel buffet restaurant was fantastic so much so we had breakfast every day and dinner most of the days at the hotel

Beautiful location. A bit quiet; had to ask to open the facilities. I had a hot stone massage; adequate, a bit short...not the full time and the tech dropped the stones at one point...not so relaxing. She also forgot to question me about my special needs PRIOR to the massage...
Room was very lovely, but no a/c for a day...hot in September. The restaurant crew was superb!!!! Although they are tasked with a spartan menu, they do it beautifully and with grace. Its not as exciting a menu as spas in the US, but the waitstaff makes up for the food. All in all, a beautiful facility that needs to tighten up some loose ends.

The food in all 3 Restaurants we ate in , Le Jardin , Kabuki Raw and the Beach Club was excellent.
Service in all 3 was exceptional.
The Blue Bar had an amazing range of Spirits and Cocktails , again service was exceptional.
The Breakfasts were wonderful , even though the service was sometimes not up to the standard of the other meals.
Rooms great , but internet not so good.
All in all a wonderful experience.
Perfect location, perfect room for me. I stayed alone, after travelling to my cousins wedding. Room was perfect for my needs. I got to walk along the beach in the morning and go to the shops whenever I fancied. Ideal location
Estepona is often mentioned in the same breath as its glitzy neighbour, Marbella, but is much less developed—and less expensive. Alongside the new hotels and modern marina, it retains a characterful Old Town with steep, cobbled streets and tapas bars. Its beaches are among the best on this stretch of coast, including a (legal) nudist beach. There is a good golf course here and Selwo Safari Park is very close by. By night it is relatively quiet.
