The hotel is located in a peaceful area and offers ample parking. The breakfast selection is excellent, and there is a nearby restaurant, but reservations are recommended.

We stayed at parkhotel multiple times. The good: breakfast option deserves all the stars for variety, quality of both food and service. The beer garden that’s adjacent to the hotel is excellent as well. The not so good: the overall state of the hotel seems to have deteriorated over the last couple of years: worn carpets, bathroom fixtures that are missing nonfunctional covers, in-room safe that’s no longer working . Same with the quality of service. It’s little things like shampoo bottle not being refilled, or wet towels not replaced, a pair of flip-flops forgotten by someone who stayed in the room before us and never taken away. None of it is enough to stay elsewhere, but all of it reflects poorly on the experience.

Solides Stadthotel, schön gelegen am Stadtpark. Gute Gastronomie, Biergarten im Innenhof, sehr ordentliches Frühstück Das Hotel ist relativ neu renoviert bzw. der Anbau ist recht neu errichtet, entsprechend guter Zustand der Zimmer, die allerdings größtenteils ziemlich klein sind. Das ist aber auch mein einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt, ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Solides Hotel im Herner Stadtpark. Der Großteil der Zimmer ist neu gebaut, die Zimmer sind ordentlich, haben zum Teil aber sehr kleine Bäder.

Veldig fint hotell. Vi reiser mye og dette hotellet var et av de beste. Romslig og rent rom, bra bad. Fin biergarten. Kvaliteten på maten der var veldig bra samt servise. Fantastisk frokost. Hadde alt vi kunne ønske oss. Mange parkeringsplasser, helt gratis. Mulighet til å lade el-bil. Veldig rolig område. Personalet var veldig vennlig og hjelpsomt. Hotellet har også velutstyrt gym. Hvis vi en gang havner i det området igjen, kommer definitivt til å overnatte på dette hotellet igjen. P.S. mangler AC, kjøleskap og vannkoker/kaffemaskin. For oss var det ikke deal breaker.

Immer wieder gut

Die Zimmer sind teils neueren Datums teils schon älter. Für mich persönlich vermisse ich einen kleinen Kühlschrank /Minibar. Gehört einfach zu einem Hotel dieser Preisklasse dazu. Das Internet ist entweder nicht das Schnellste oder man hat Verbindungsprobleme. Auch sehr schade, dass das nicht so funktioniert. Ansonsten eine sehr schöne Lage mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereiten Personal. Ich bin mmer wieder gerne hier.

Wie schon das erste Mal ok. Leider wurde ich schon sehr früh geweckt (6.30 Uhr) da das Hotel mit Ware beliefert wurde. Da war die Nacht zu Ende. Bei der Ankunft musste ich das Zimmer sofort wieder wechseln da wohl ein Gast vor mir seine Sucht befriedigt hat. Der Rauchgeruch war nicht zu ertragen. Dank des freundlichen Mitarbeiters am Empfang wurde das Problem umgehend aus der Welt geschafft. Dann bis nächstes mal.

Gute, ruhige Lage. Ausreichende, kostenlose Parkplätze. Annehmbare Matratzen (wenn man es etwas härter mag).Das war dann auch schon alles Positive. Neutraler Empfang (das Wichtigste war die Kontrolle der bereits im voraus bezahlten Rechnung). Hotelausstattung auf keinen Fall 4-Sterne-Niveau! Teppichböden in den Gängen stark abgenutzt, Zimmereingang verschrammt,das Bad (fast) unakzeptabel: Silberfische, Standard von WC-Sitz, Armaturen und altmodischer Duschkabine ohne Kommentar. Ich hatte das KOMFORTZIMMER gebucht,sind die Standardzimmer noch schlimmer? Beim Einräumen kippte der Schrankeinlegeboden weil ein Halter fehlt, Kopfkissen von schlechter Qualität (gut, dass wir mit eigenen Kissen reisen). Übler Geruch am frühen Morgen aus dem Frühstücksbereich. Verabschiedung (siehe Empfang) "Rechnungskontrolle" und "Auf Wiedersehen", mehr nicht. Auch wenn es altbekannte Floskeln sind, die man hier vermisst, so müsste im Servicebereich dringend nachgeschult werden. Gästebindung geht anders. Keine Empfehlung meinerseits. Schade.
