Lothianbridge Viaduct on the Waverley Route south of Edinburgh. This currently dismantled railway line ran between Carlisle and Edinburgh, there are plans to reinstate a section near Edinburgh, and the viaduct is one of the main engineering structures of that line.

Best part of this hotel was the location. Grassmarket is a short walk to the old town which was perfect. Room was spacious, great view of the castle. Very clean, other than the chair having a stain on the seat. The floor in and outside of the room had very creaky floorboards which woke us up a few ...

Room was pretty clean upon arrival! The shower had a weird smell but it ended up going away after a day or so. Staff were very friendly! Good water pressure. Beds were super comfy as well.

Very welcoming and decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Amenities were great and for me the location was perfect. I enjoyed being able to host my family and friends. Irene & Ewan were very welcoming and supportive hosts and I highly recommend.
