"I'll start by saying that I'm not a comfortable complainer. I also don't like to leave generally negative reviews, but I can only speak as I find.
I've spent a month touring Europe alone on my motorbike so I've spent a lot of time (and money) on various styles of hotels with varying price brackets.
First the positives - front of house staff were friendly and the view was main selling point.

"Good hotel and nice staff. Bar was closed very early and waiters could not give dessert at 21:30, but the dessert fridge was just standing next to our table. Heating was a bit noisy in the room. We will for sure recommend, really nice stay"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Romantik Hotel zur Glocke. Every detail in our suite felt above and beyond what we expected. The spacious, quiet room was beautifully decorated, and the comfortable furniture made it easy to relax. From the plush bedding to the high-quality toiletries and the perfectly placed lighting, every element felt chosen with care. My favourite spot was the cosy window nook that overlooked the street, a wonderful place to unwind and watch people pass by. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh options and eggs cooked just beautifully. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Trier, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the Mosel River, which made it easy to enjoy walks along the water and take in the beautiful surroundings. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, and the rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast had a great variety of options, making for a perfect start to the day. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Trier."
