The view from this property cannot be beat-it is stunning and incredible. Definitely book a room with a sea view. Only downside was our bathroom, which was extremely small and down at the heels. It definitely needs to be updated. Other than that this hotel is good value for the money and is in an excellent and beautiful location. Very helpful staff at the front desk.

Good hotel. Lovely cave styled rooms

George, the house manager, was extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. He really made the stay more memorable with his suggestions and information. I had the terrace room which had an unobstructed view of the caldera and stunning views of the sun setting behind Therasia Island. You'll want to walk down the stairs by the Kameni Bar (painted red) opposite the Metropolitan Church. From Fira bus stop, go up the cobbled street (5 min). Centrally located and yet isolated from the crowds because it's halfway down the caldera. Spacious cave rooms kept immaculately clean by George and the house staff.

The staff was friendly and very responsive to any requests. The views from the property are beautiful and the surrounding town has many dining and shopping options.

About 15 minutes from the airport we arrive at Desiterra resort, located on the east side of the island, a tranquil beautiful spot directly overlooking the sea. Stunning views of other islands of Anafi and Amorgos. The dawn sunrise is simply breathtaking my advice is get up witness it even if you have to go back to bed. The resort is a 5 minute walk along the beach to a lovely little cafe restaurant by the local harbour again amazing for sunrise. If you are a runner the roads are reasonably safe this time of year. Get that dawn run done. The resort is isolated but for us that was perfect the resort runs a shuttle bus dependent on your activities and budget it's this or a hire car. The resort will organise the hire for you but you can get better deals. We hired a car and have litterly been everywhere. We stayed in The blue monkey, (wall painting from ancient akrotiri) traditional vaulted ceiling villa tiled throughout. Air-conditioning hot and cold, walk in shower with rain shower and hand shower. The bed is situated on a mezzanine overlooking the lounge kitchen area. The kitchen is well appointed kettle coffee machine (illy iperespresso) odd pods. You can buy locally but room service give you two daily. The cleaners are meticulous in their attention to detail. Staff are fantastic Sandesh thankyou. 5 star all of the staff
