Cozy stay with everything you need!

We had a relaxing, wonderful winter weekend at Spruce. The location is excellent, and Colin has considered every detail in order to make for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

Great location

This cozy cabin was the perfect home base for our Door County adventures. Roomy, well-appointed and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better location as we sought out sunsets at Peninsula State Park, crashing waves at Cave Point County Park and the smooth rocks at Schoolhouse Beach on Washington Island. It was early in the season, and despite a few places not yet open, we still had plenty of restaurants to choose from, and we embraced the fact that we had the place - as in Door County - all too ourselves.

Winter Spruce Gallery Crawl

Spruce is very nice. Colin, the owner, communicates very well and is very helpful. Spruce couldn’t be better located to facilitate access to the best of what Door County has to offer. We especially enjoyed the art galleries.

Perfect

We had the best fall getaway with my sister and daughters at Spruce Retreat. Cozy, quaint, quiet location close to beautiful Peninsula State Park. Spruce retreat has everything you need. We had as much fun staying in as we did going out. Highly recommend for a perfect stay!

1st time Door County Experience

We made a last minute decision to travel to Door County for the first time and this little cottage called out to us. The location was perfect for our needs and being able to go to many of the attractions were pretty much 15-20 mins or less travel. The home itself is nicely decorated and Colin’s personal touches from make up remover to having a full working order kitchen was a huge benefit even though this trip we didn’t cook but we will be back here hopefully in the Fall. You will enjoy this get away gem!

Another wonderful stay in Door County

We enjoyed our stay at Green Gables. The property is well appointed, spacious, and very clean. We love the beautiful landscaping. How perfect it will be for weddings and family gatherings. Colin is a gracious host. We had a relaxing, very comfortable time. Would definitely stay here again and again.

Spruce Cabin at Green Gables

One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in over the years! Clean, comfy. Two sofas (1 is a hide-a-bed). Comfy king bed. It’s an open concept large space with gas FP, full kitchen w/dishwasher. Colin has taken on a huge project of landscaping his entire property. He was easy to work with, very nice guy. Hope to return next year.

Terrific Stay

Everything about our stay was great. Our host was very responsive and greeted us both coming and going. His property is gorgeous, as is all of the area around that he is working on. The unit itself is well put together, very clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we could have asked for.The landscaping all around is amazing. The location is just perfect in the middle of so many fun great places. We definitely would love to return and see all of the changes and results of Collins hard work developing this wonderful property including an actual botanic garden. Cheers till next time.

Sisters weekend

My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at Colin's place in Ephraim. It was a great location and a beautiful property. We enjoyed having wine on the deck in the evenings. We will definitely return!

Wonderful Property

This house was SO comfortable, perfect size for 2 and adorably decorated. Very conveniently located between Fish Camp and Sisters Bay. The bed was very comfortable as well as all of the furniture. I was expecting a separate bedroom but the bed is separated only by a wall but it really works out well in this house, at least for 2 people…. The house is really one big room with a wall between the bed and the kitchen area. The views are wonderful. You are on the main road through the area but it is very quiet inside and we didn’t notice the road. I highly recommend this property and we would stay here again in a minute if we return to the area…

Absolutely wonderful 4th of July stay

My wife and I returned to Spruce Retreat for the second time this holiday weekend. Love everything about the cabin. The location is easy access to any of the Door county cities. The coziness, reading on the deck looking into the woods and gardens directly in front of us. The ease of getting around from Spruce is what makes it so wonderful. Cannot recommend this place any higher. Colin is so easy to work with.

Door County Getaway

2nd time staying at this property. Everything was perfect. Love the location and the cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped. And this year's visit was perfectly timed to enjoy fall colors at their peak.
