The cabin was perfect for our Yellowstone trip! Very quiet, beautiful property right off the Yellowstone river. We watched golden eagles and osprey while eating breakfast. We would definitely love to come stay again!
The South Cabin worked perfectly for our family of four and dog. We had plenty of space and used the provided grill. My son fished everyday from the private river access and was able to catch cutthroat trout and mountain whitefish right from shore. The cabin is perfect for a family and close enough to the park but far enough away from the craziness. We loved our time there.

Panoramic views via large windows and a spacious deck, nice amenities, and close enough to things but far enough away at the same time. Nice kitchen furnishings. The ladder loft was not something we found to be functional space and left a portion of the cabin unusable for us, which made it feel more cramped, but I’d imagine kids love it. Just a matter of preference. Not a dealbreaker as everything else was so lovely but seems helpful to share.
My 17 year old daughter, husband, 3 year old Dutch Sheppard and I stayed here for a week using it as our place for a week at Yellowstone. It was a beautiful location, where we enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset daily. There were 4 bald eagles that we watched daily from the couch. It took about 20 minutes to Yellowstone from the location, but we LOVED all the wildlife we saw on that drive. It was about 30 minutes to Livingston were we went the day it rained to enjoy downtown and shopping. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies, and bathroom needs. The owners were very easy to communicate with, and even checked in on our stay half way through. Our dog enjoyed the yard and we spent every evening sitting on the porch reading and her just taking it in.
The property is called River Haven and it is perfectly named. We stayed in the South Cabin and it was amazing. Our cabin was possibly the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. We cooked several nights and everything we needed was available including many items most places do not have (spices, foil, oil). The bed is very comfortable and there were soft blankets which is a plus to me. We didn’t use the loft beds but it looked very cozy up there. We did use the AC and the cabin cools down quickly. It’s a very short walk to the river and we sat by it several afternoons. There is a bit of slope to actually get in the water but doable. The view out our window was amazing and we saw the most incredible sunsets. We saw eagles and ospreys, rabbits and a couple of deers every night. Laura was great to work with and always very responsive. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at River Haven Cabins! Laura was a wonderful host—she responded quickly to any questions and made everything easy. The cabin itself was cozy, very comfortable, and had incredible views. Being right on the river made it especially peaceful. The location was perfect—just a short drive to Yellowstone National Park, Chico Hot Springs, and Livingston, yet tucked away from the touristy crowds. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to relax and enjoy Montana. Highly recommend!

The cabin is awesome, clean, and the perfect distance from Gardiner and Livingston. Deer walking around property, River close walk away, and the view of the mountains made this our favorite vacation to date!
The place was the perfect size and had everything we needed. A little further away from Yellowstone but was perfect to stay away from the crowds of people.
Handsome little cabin, well equipped, great for a small family... or little bit larger if you would rent both of the two adjacent but well arranged in view of privacy cabins. Local gas station has everything you need for a short stay insofar as groceries.
We had a meeting in the area, enjoyed Chico Hot Springs and loved the deer, elk, and eagle visits. This place was just what we needed.

Absolutely gorgeous property! The hosts are amazing! Best part of our whole trip was staying at this cabin. Close to Yellowstone Park. Grocery and laundry near by. very private and lots of room to roam!
Perfect quaint cabin stay and location. Hosts were easy to communicate with and the property is beautiful. Cabin was very clean and cozy. Nice to be far enough away from hustle and bustle but not too far from town. Would love to come back again and bring my kids along!
Owners were such friendly and helpful people!! Cabin was spotless and just as advertised. Good river access. Cabins are situated for privacy. Perfect 3 nights!
This cabin had everything our family of five needed, including good WiFi for my teenage children. It’s clean, cool, and comfortable. The location about 35 minutes north of Yellowstone is convenient to explore Lamar Valley without overpaying for accommodations in Gardiner. River Haven is a great cabin for a great price.
Amazing views, amazing property, wonderful cabin and wonderful communication. Can’t get any better!! Bring binoculars!!! You will observe mule deer, elk, bald eagles and other wildlife!
We had a great time in this clean, well-equipped cabin on the ranch. The owners have thought of it all, as it was stocked with anything we needed during our 4 day stay. Cisco, their horse, is very friendly and my sons loved seeing him welcome us at the fence as we’d come back from a day at Yellowstone (perfect location if you’re heading in and out of the North entrance and don’t want to be too close to the tourist scene). We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back this way!
Really well finished log cabin but also very modern and new. Gorgeous location near a river and mountain views. Super clean and beautiful on the inside, highly recommended!
My only downsides were the road is fairly close by so it's not quiet when sitting outside or by the river (very quiet inside) and the loft is a little warm and can use its own fan
This beautiful cabin has everything you need. With great attention to detail, the home was comfortable, quaint and charming. Host was quick to reply and overall excellent experience. Only downfall was it was incredibly windy the entire time we were there. I suppose that is what you get in Paradise Valley!
