"Hotel was close to local attractions, restaurants and river. My room had a great view of the river. Bed was comfortable and had coffee and tea making facilities and a fridge. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of several cuisines. I found each member of staff that I interacted with to be friendly, courteous and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to others."

Extremely convenient for many attractions of the city - right on the waterfront, and almost directly opposite the Assembly buildings. Chinatown is just behind - with many delicious options for food. "We stayed at Merdaka for 7 nights and the stay was alright. The first 2 nights was given the road facing room and the windows were not sound proof. Complained about it and the staff was accommodating and changed my room. The hotel is a very old one and not very well maintained. The sheets had stains and bathrooms were old and moldy. The only positive is the staff there are very helpful and polite."

There was some construction going on that we only barely heard once for about 10 minutes. Bonus: my family of three where two of us have wheelchair needs, we found the food court, spa services and convenience store on the property to be very comfortable and convenient. We plan to visit frequently just to order take out from their devine chef and his signature cheese and fries! "
