Enjoy Luxury for less ! Welcome to 'FarFarAway'. Fully updated beautiful, spacious and semi-secluded, mountain, log cabin. We just transformed our unfinished basement into a Game room which includes a pool table, wet bar, arcade, and infared sauna with an Additional bedroom and Bathroom. It is meticulously decorated to make you feel at home or if you need to do a little work there is WiFi. Fully-equipped kitchen for those of you who like to cook. Seasonal and year round mountain views. Triple private wood decks for your outdoor comfort including hot tub and personal deck off master. Great room with soaring wooden ceilings and fireplace on main level. Great place for kids to get away. This is in a secure gated community with a beautiful outdoor swimming pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, tennis courts, hiking and lake activities.

Located on Walnut Mountain, a private upscale gated community only three miles from historic downtown Ellijay and fifteen miles from beautiful and quaint downtown Blue Ridge. Both Ellijay and Blue Ridge have wonderful shopping and restaurants. Also located within half hour of Murphy, North Carolina and McCaysville, Tennessee. During the summer months enjoy all that gorgeous Lake Blue Ridge has to offer including swimming and boating. Whitewater rafting is near by as well. Visit other quaint towns such as Helen or Dahlonaga or hit the best discount shopping mall in Georgia located in Dawsonville, less then an hours drive. Come see the incredible foliage in the fall. It does not get better then this!

Fantastic Stay!

My family had such a great time at this cabin. We played pool and darts, used the sauna and hot tub, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful views from all three porches. It was a wonderful long weekend!

Best cabin yet

We come up to Ellijay every other year and always choose a different cabin. This one was our favorite. Great communication, perfect layout, awesome view. Love how there is a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. It offers a little more privacy.

Lovely place with great views of the mountains. Needs some maintenance - we had several things that didn't work and written instructions given were not accurate. Owner did respond to help but it took 24 hours before response. Owner apologized and did correct some of the issues.

Girls Trip

Such a cute cabin with lots of space! We had a blast on a adult girls trip. It was quite an adventure being up in the mountains. Recommend this cabin for people of all ages!

Nice location and cabin, convenient to town and to waterfalls and trails. Owner very friendly and accommodating. Cabin could use some updating of furniture and accessories such as tv/ dvd combo not working and games replaced as many don’t have complete pieces. Outside decks could be cleaned and furniture updated to enjoy the outdoor space.

We really enjoyed this property! Listing was accurate, communication with owner was easy and the neighborhood was great! We had a herd of deer come every evening during dinner and even had a black bear grazing through one of the nights. Very peaceful and would gladly stay again!

Far, far, away on walnut mountain

It was streefree stay with great memories made. Absolutely loved the deer and view. Would recommend it as a stay in elijay. We had a blast tubing nearby! The community pool was great! Loved the sauna and game room. Do wish the upstairs dvd player worked there is a giant collection of dvds! Thanks so much hope we can sign the book again!

Close to Ellijay and more!

Though less than 15 minutes from downtown Ellijay, this cabin whisks you far away! Located in a gated community with many amenities, it feels like you’re living in a treehouse. Birds and deer abound, and the hot tub was the perfect end to a day of hiking. Beds were very comfortable, and though we didn’t need them, the sauna, pool table, arcade & endless movies would have made for a great rainy day! We throughly enjoyed the views from all three balconies, as well as those from several local wineries. Ft. Mountain and Amicalola Fall State Parks are both close by. The owner was very responsive - we will be back!

My family and friends had a blast at this cabin! It was the first time my friends stayed in a cabin and they were blown away by the activities available and loved the cabin itself. There are two negatives to this rental. The first being the road to the cabin, it was narrow and curvy. (I loved the roads, but my friend had a major panic attack.) And the second being the parking. Two cars fit just fine, but it can be difficult to back in/out of driveway due to hump at top of driveway and the curve being so close to driveway. But I would absolutely stay here again! Owners communicated very well. Definitely a very easy process with the directions given by owner. Pool table, bar, sauna, hot tub, arcade game, and hundreds of DVDs! Wonderful!

Nice Cabin and Location, but Broken Amenities

We stayed at this cabin for 3 days last weekend. The cabin was nice and the location was great. The view was beautiful. However, several of the advertised amenities were broken and the owner does not check if the amenities are working between guests. Two of the big amenities that our family and kids were looking forward to using and never got to use since they were broken were the hot tub and the arcade. At first the owner was responsive to us contacting them about the problems, but then they quit responding partway through our stay. We had a nice vacation, but we were disappointed not to get to use some of the advertised amenities on our trip that were part of the reason we picked this cabin.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great. We loved the pool table, the decks and the wildlife. We really enjoyed seeing all the deer, watching the hawks, crows and listening to the owls. The home is a bit outdated, could use some minor repairs as well as a good deep cleaning (window sills, baseboard, and cobwebs) for the price and that it sleeps 6-8 people, we would stay again in the future.

This was the perfect getaway. The cabin was in a safe and quiet gated community. It was was clean and very spacious. Our family loved the basement game room (pool table/arcade), and we enjoyed all the outdoor seating options (including the hot tub). The host provided clear information and was very responsive via text. Overall, a great relaxing weekend. We would definitely book this cabin again.

I was very happy with this cabin for the second year in a row!I was a bit disappointed that this year I was forced to buy accident protection and that the host fees went up. It cost several hundred dollars more this year due to that. The nightly rental fee was the same. Maybe offer a return customer discount to offset some of the cost, if the fees are a necessity.

The cabin is in a secured neighborhood which created a sense of safety. Lots of private spaces and gathering spaces to use. Cabin was well equipped for everything you might need. Host was responsive when contacted. My only two areas of concern were that the outdoor decks were dirty and the interior needed some love. Chair cushions were covered in dust/dirt and spiderwebs. Indoors there was peeling paint, torn rugs, indoor ice and water dispenser did not work. Overall we enjoyed our stay, tons of stuff to do in the surrounding areas!
