We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed the amenities. The cabin was spacious and we had plenty of space and beds for 12 people. There was a neighborhood cat, Jefferson, who even came for daily visits. We loved all of it!
We enjoyed this spacious house for our early Thanksgiving family gathering. The kids enjoyed the pool table games, the hot tub, and the level backyard for outside play. The weather was so nice. We went to the Red Barn apple orchard for an outing and picked apples. It was very close by. A great trip for our family.
My family goes to the Apple Festival every year and this resort is about 10 minutes away. It’s a perfect location for that. The resort is huge and coming in the first time can be a bit confusing. Also, there are deer EVERYWHERE! Beautiful, but drive slowly. The cabin had sufficient parking. We had six vehicles and were able to make it work. The cabin had everything we needed. We cooked two dinners and found the necessary supplies. The sofa bed upstairs was uncomfortable for the guest who slept there, but there were not any other complaints. Thanks to the cabin owner and manager for opening the home to visitors!
Our experience was absolutely top notch! We had a large group of family that came from several different states. This cabin was so much roomier than we expected. The photos didn't do it justice for the size of the rooms and the open loft upstairs. The screened in balcony was a favorite place for all to hang out; with tables and chairs for 9-10 people, a propane barbeque and a fireplace when the evening got cool. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate several people helping to prepare meals together. It was clean and well stocked with dishes, glassware, mugs, pots, pans and utensils. Everybody reported that their rooms and mattresses were comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets, towels and pillows. The property is fairly private, as it is surrounded by trees. The kids (age 6-10) had a place to explore without encroaching on the neighboring properties, and the neighbors were quiet and friendly. The property management was very responsive and helpful. Our only issue was actually finding the cabin. I received the address and directions to the front gate with a confirmation code. A call button gets you through to security that will buzz you in. The emailed instructions were very clear on this, but I will reiterate--cell service is spotty at best. After passing through the gate, you will have another address to the cabin itself (an additional15-20 minute drive) This is where we had difficulty. Pull up the map/directions and screenshot it before you go through the gate.

Cabin in the woods
The house is a rustic but comfortable home located in the woods. The linens and towels are old and could be refreshed. Some of the rooms could use bedside lamps and mirrors, and the basement could use a dehumidifier since 3 of the bedrooms are down there. The property has several amenities good for a winter stay like a hot tub and fire pit but we were there in the warm early Fall, so didn't use. There is also a pool table. The kitchen is large and comfortable for a big group. However, the washing machine apparently had dirt in it, (I needed to wash my son's shirt for a wedding rehearsal dinner we were attending and it came out with dirt on it instead of clean, ugh). The house is hard to find, tucked away in a series of hilly, windy, narrow roads, instructions were not good - they should send a map with all of the inner streets for the "resort" development. Had I known it would take 20 minutes to wind our way through the development just to get out I would have chosen a different location. If you are looking for remote to get away from it all - this is the place for you, but go to the grocery store on the way in.
We had very good communication with this Vrbo host. Everything was clean and accommodatng for our group of 15. We were thankful to have this Rental with plenty of room for our family reunion. The level backyard is a plus, as well as the back porch. We also enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. We visited the Apple Barn where we were able to pick apples. You’ll enjoy this cozy home.
This place was everything we needed. The location was in a good spot and the staff was very accommodating.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
The driveway alone made us not stay there. 1/2 was washed out, the other half was so steep and came out onto the main road you couldnt see who was coming. VERY DANGEROUS.
The host was very welcoming. The house was quite nice itself, but the furnishings were rather sparse. None of the bedrooms other than the master had any furnishings except for a bed and a chest. All of our luggage had to be placed on the floor which was rather inconvenient as the youngest member of our group was 69. The closets in the upstairs had the hanging bar at about 7 feet high making it difficult to use. There were no hooks in the rooms for hanging clothes or other items. The rooms had no mirrors and few if pictures for decoration. At best the rooms were very spartan. The towels, etc were worn and appeared to used at home and repurposed in the rental unit. Again, the unit was quite nice but needed some internal freshening up.
There were small little problems the upstair bath tub drains slow, two kitchen chairs wobbling and no butane in the grill, but nothing serious had a wonderful time!!!!
Our whole family met here for the holidays. The cabin and grounds were nice. There are a few things that need some upkeep, but we all had a very enjoyable stay. The deer were fun to watch after we put out deer corn.
The Dream Catcher was the perfect place for our family vacation. I very seldom give a five star rating but the Dream Catcher earned it! Everyone loved the deer! And the deer loved corn. Serendipity.
Adult children and grandchildren joined us for a fun filled “cold” Thanksgiving in the mountains...all of us coming from Florida! It was so different for us all and so much fun!! It may become an annual event for us!
