Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Eldorado?
The best area to stay in Eldorado is along Avenida San Martín, the city's main thoroughfare.

This central avenue is the heart of Eldorado, offering easy access to most amenities and services. It's a long, tree-lined street with a variety of shops, restaurants, and local businesses. Many of the city's better hotels and guesthouses are located directly on or just off Avenida San Martín, making it a convenient base for exploring.

Couples looking for a comfortable and convenient stay will find this area particularly suitable. You'll be within walking distance of eateries for a relaxed dinner and have easy access to local craft markets or the Parque Schwelm, which is a pleasant spot for a stroll.

For those planning to use Eldorado as a base for day trips to nearby attractions like the Salto Encantado Provincial Park or the Urugua-í Provincial Park, staying on Avenida San Martín offers straightforward access to the main routes out of the city.
When is the best time to go to Eldorado?
The best time to visit Eldorado is during the autumn and spring months, specifically from April to June and September to November, when the weather is most pleasant.

These periods avoid the intense heat and humidity of the summer (December to March) and the cooler, wetter winter months (July and August). During autumn and spring, you'll find comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty, such as the nearby provincial parks and the Paraná River. This is a great time for couples or solo travellers looking to enjoy outdoor activities without the extremes of the weather.

Families might also find these months suitable, as the milder climate allows for comfortable outings to local attractions like the Parque Schwelm or the Costanera.
