"The hotel decor oozed quality and style, in an amazing location opposite ‘Gaudi’s Palace’, and with views towards the Cathedral and out towards mountains in the distance. It is perfectly situated for exploring Astorga and sampling its many cafes and restaurants. The owner of this family-run hotel made us very welcome. This would be a 5star rating if there were tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, and the breakfast was better - it felt skimpy, long life yogurts were warm. "

"The convento Foncebadon is wonderful. Clean. Comfortable. Cozy. The room was large. We slept beautifully. Very quiet. The only issue we had was even though i made my reservation on Hotels.com for some reason they did not have record of us. After they made a phone call somewhere it was clarified and we had a wonderful stay. Also the restaurant served dinner and we were quite pleased. I highly recommend the Convento"
