All air-con and ceiling fan. Accommodation was clean, modern and spacious. Beds were comfortable, and bed linen was fresh and looked lovely. "Pros: This place one of the best places a have been to - there is a lot of outdoor space, big house with 4 rooms all of them ensuite plus a small guest toilet in the hallway. We also enjoyed the outsidebar and the beautiful very big nice an clean pool. Everthing was very clean, totally fresh crisp bedsheets, SO nice - we lived our stay there. The road down to the house, is a little up and down, but already after driving that road 2 times, it was no problem and actually kind of cosy and fun 😊"

"Pros: Loved the location as it was really quiet with nice views. The outdoor area was great and we really enjoyed the new day bed which is not yet shown on the photos. Also enjoyed the outdoor cooking area with darts and archery. The hosts met us and answered all our questions and made sure we had all the information we needed. Communication was great. Cons: Nothing but be aware travelling to the location by car requires driving along a narrow cliff road"

"The Road up is very steep so be aware of that, so you and your car is ready for it. Carlos is an excellent host and very fast to answer any you might have, the villa is very spacious and has everything you need and the outdoor area is spectacular and the view you can’t buy for money will definitely be back some dayPerfect family holiday for 6 adults"

"Ellen and Rudi were lovely, very friendly, amusing and helpful hosts. There is a lovely pool, outdoor shower and terrace area. The room had tea and coffee making, air conditioning, Good size shower with excellent pressure. Excellent location with cafes below and next to the hotel. A short walk to village centre, restaurants and bars. We will remember their lovely doggies Oliver and Chief!"

"First time staying in a hotel in Torre del Mar although we have been visiting the area for 34 yrs. Very clean hotel, functioning 2 lifts, never a long wait. Staff extremely helpful, an ideal no fuss stay. Great location in this lovely small bustling seaside town especially if you don’t want to walk far to the excellent restaurants, tapas bars, cafes. The impressive promenade and beach are just 2 minutes walk away and the surrounding pedestrianised areas have a variety of small independent shops. We stayed for San Juan fiesta in a room overlooking the front entrance. Noise wasn’t a problem for us even if you do count the seagulls! Expect to park free a fair distance away from the hotel in Summer as the population grows or pay for hotel parking, I think €20 per day? Nearby blue zone parking payment was confusing but it could have been lost in translation. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay and would visit again."

"Nous y avons dormi trois nuits. Le domaine est absolument superbe. Tout est beau - splendide même. C'est un endroit qui respire la sérénité, le savoir vivre. Une halte repos exceptionnelle dans le cadre d'un voyage dans les grandes villes d'Andalousie. Seul bémol, les deux restaurants servent une nourriture correcte, mais moins mémorable que l'hôtel et son domaine. Nous le recommandons fortement, et nous y retournerons."

"We stayed in the Viri Suite, which is part of La Lipa Suites. This was a 2-bedroomed, 2-bathroom, kitchen suite (m/wave, stove top, w/m, d/w, fridge/freezer, etc). Wifi and Smart TV. All air-con and ceiling fan. Accommodation was clean, modern and spacious. Beds were comfortable, and bed linen was fresh and looked lovely. Terrace was adequate size and appropriately furnished, although the view was limited. Occasional passers-by were friendly and weren't noisy or intrusive. We could have meals on the terrace without feeling socially awkward or 'on display'. Our host met us at the front of the property. She explained a few of the local tourist options, took our details, and showed us to our suite which was around the back of the building and down some steep stairs. There is a small supermarket just off the square in Almachar, which is more than adequate for provisions. A few small shops in Almachar also - but you'd have to hunt for them. Almachar is a mountain village and any local exploration will be met with a series of challenging uphill walks, and steep stairs. This also applies to the roads. If you're hiring a car it may be wise to consider an automatic if your clutch control and hill starts aren't on point. Similarly, DO NOT get a big car. The streets are very narrow. Although La Lipa Suites offered parking at the property, actually getting there was a bit of a stressor and we ended up parking on the main road into the village. Easily visit again, but smaller car."
