The restaurant seating system is the worst I’ve seen. You have to line up at 5:10 to even get a table at any point that night. Old school magnetic stripe room keys frequently de-magnetize. Rooms are dated. Staff is great.

The place is basically Costa Rica on a budget . The amenities are ok . The rooms are down a hill that you have to wait for a car to come get you or you walk which is very inconvenient especially if you are with children because having to go up and down to go eat etc . Toro Blanco Resort
Nice pool and a block from beach. Nice breakfast. Beds are a little hard. Hotel is well located right in town so you can walk anywhere. AC works well.

Bahia Pez Vela Resort
Well stocked, strong air conditioning but Hot water turns off occasionally. Try to check before front office leaves. Tupperware, Saran Wrap, Tinfoil would have been handy. Laundry soap not supplied.
