"The proprietor was very helpful and responsive. The website did not clearly show that it was more like a B&B with shared facilities. The room was clean and adequate. Parking could be a substantial problem if one of the 3 spots in front of the house are not available. "

The view from the balcony is terrific and the location is perfect for getting around between Kaiserslautern and Zweibrucken. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would stay there again given the chance."

"The place is clean and new but since it’s summer, fan is a must and that’s what we didn’t have. The location looks a little bit unsafe and so we took out all our valuable stuff from the car. But overall, for the price that we paid it was worth it. "

"A lovely, well-equipped house in a stunning location with its own fabulous garden. Brilliant for our family group of 10. Lots to do locally. The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. Highly recommended."

"im großen und ganzen für zwei personen ok,,aber mehr nicht ist eh kein platz am tisch.. küche war ein reinfall,, der herd hat geräuchert wenn die backröhre an war und braten ging garnich weil die abzugshaube nicht da war,,nix da,,tcha waschmittel waschmaschine alle,,waschgeschirrstender keiner da usw.also sehr viele sachen wenn man zweimal hinschaut,,untern caport ein verwester toter fuchs,,liegt bestimmt schon zwei wochen da,,da sieht man das mache vermieter,, nicht richtig ihr grundstück...

"A real break from hectic normal work life. All you need to regain some work life balance. Wonderful walking surroundings, easy cozy living home (multi story house). Wonderful outside sitting areas. "Der Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft in Fischbach war super angenehm. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und modern. Die Küche mehr als ausreichend bestückt mit Backofen, Herd, Mikrowelle Kaffeemaschine etc…das Bett echt bequem. Wir waren wirklich positiv überrascht. Check in und out ohne Probleme. Die Kommunikation war ebenso unproblematisch. Parken direkt vor dem Haus. Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich und freuen uns schon auf ein wiederkehren :) "

Great Property…Killer view!

"A wonderful hotel with a view that could not be matched in the area. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend as it was quite warm outside. The view from the terrace should not be missed. The property is a stone’s throw from old castle ruins (free) and an underground sandstone quarry (there is an admission fee), as well as a short walk from the old town. Full disclosure: the hotel is on the top of a hill. While the walk into town was all downhill and relatively easy, the walk back up to the hotel could be viewed as somewhat strenuous."

"Just back from a visit to Idar-Oberstein. Parking was easy, I arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but a staff member was able to quickly get me checked in. Room was perfect for my stay. Hotel is close to the Felsenkirche and castles. The Norma shop is 2 minutes walk away and there are several places to eat in the square."

"We enjoyed our stay in the apartment very much. We found everything we needed in the apartment, which is very big and cozy and the landscape is amazing. The place is beautiful, so peaceful, not so far from the lake and the shops are also in the nearby. Ursula and Gerd, the owners, are very kind and friendly. We would love to go back to this apartment for our next holiday! We want to thank Ursula and Gerd for their kindness!"
