"A tiny truck stop motel unlikely to impress from the outside. But the hosts were welcoming and the room nice for the price. As long as outside-opening doors don't worry you one can recommend the place. I appreciated seeing the manager trying to spruce up the immediate surroundings."

"Great out of the way place to stay when visiting UIUC! Highly recommend going to Champaign for activities and meals because, it is located in a small town with a closed down mall that lacks any night life or restaurants besides a McDonald's a gas station and maybe some other fast food chain/chains. But does have a grocery store all in walking distance. "

"The staff at the spillway motel and BAIT SHOP were friendly and helpful. we arrived super late at night and check in was not a problem. Our room was not clean, you could feel grit on the floor and a spill in front of the refrigerator was dried to the floor. beds were made but one mattress was heavily cupped in one side and the support was terrible. the tv worked fine and there was a working microwave and refrigerator. There was also complimentary coffee, single cup coffee maker. The only saving...

"Room was suppose to have mini fridge, and microwave. It didn't have mini fridge like it stated. Bedspread was stained. We ask for a new Bedspread and about a mini fridge. They never got back to us and our food went bad. The air didn't work very well and we were hot all night Then we got woke up at 7.30 from a smoke alarm going off. I called and ask what was going on and was told they had a mishap with the smoke alarm. Our complaints, we feel are validated. What makes it okay with anyone to pay...

"Another great stay at Redbud Cottage. The accommodations are perfect for our small family get togethers and the property is lovely. Nice to see the lake as the weather is getting warmer and watching the boats go by. Very relaxing. Close enough to shopping and the owners have really been a pleasure to work with."

"Beautifully designed and decorated lake house on Lake Sara in Effingham; with plenty of room for a large family. The beautiful property is very secluded and peaceful (follow the host’s directions carefully)! This house had to have been designed by someone who grew up with a family lake house, because everything you need is here!"
